Africa is not a country. It's the 2nd largest continent in the world. Africa is too big and too diverse to expect unification, and saying that Africa should unite is the equivalent of expecting Canada, the USA, Mexico, and all other North American nations along the land bridge to unify, and since there is a wall between USA and Mexico, that seems to be going rather well doesn't it?
@deathexotic
@deathexotic 3 жыл бұрын
You’re right saying Africa is a united country is just absurd. Just because the people are black doesn’t mean their cultures are same. A person from Kenya will be far different than a person from Sudan both culturally and mentally. It’s the same as saying Germans and French just because they’re from the same region and have white skin. They’re are countries like India,Pakistan,Nepal and Bangladesh on whom this logic might not apply to because they have been historically quite recently been separated but for Africa which may be the origin of humanity itself it is definitely an overstatement.

Japan is surprisingly Low Tech in many areas. If you take a train within a metropolitan area its easily noticeable For magnetic prepaid cards become no longer useful once you arrive in a rural area in which paper tickets and manual turnstiles become prevalent. So a lot of tech remains underutilized compared to the USA but its still relatively the same.

USA, because of the very nature of our culture. France, massive colonial empire, and a decent rising economy. India. Population boom and rising middle class. Possibly the East Africa Federation, alot of potential to steal China's disaffected youth for work and many companies from mainland china due to labor costs causing collapse of China economy. China's economy is far worse than people realize and their in for a massive population free fall. Once they cant take care of their elderly and their youth cant marry or work the ruling government will lose the Mandate of Heaven. Brazil is a joke, enough said. Indonesia is far too separated in land area and disunited in it's people. More than likely it splits into many countries.

It should be interesting to see how China handles her population problem, given how much the government favors a more homogenous demographic (less open to immigration). If they can somehow succeed in doing this, it could be the most revolutionary breakthrough of the century, the ability to manipulate the sizes of massive populations while negating the consequences of doing so.

They do project their culture all over the world via anime. (It does count) Same with their economy (Sony and other companies). I'm not sure how much diplomatic strength they have. Military is tough to call. WW2 has shown they're more than capable of projecting it across the globe, but they arent' at the moment.

I would suggest that 2121 is impossible to predict. What we do know is that the power of balance between the west/democracy and autocracies will determine which direction the world will go as a whole. We also know that the population is barely growing/shrinking in the west, meanwhile countries with dictatorships are rapidly growing in population and their economies. The future of USA as the dominant country, along with the unity of EU-countries and their growth compared to countries like China, Pakistan, Russia, Iran, Saudi-Arabia, Indonesia and more will largely determine which of these two ways of government will dominate. Whoever dominates will also dominate more and more in the west. I also suggest that the western democracy will change much in the decades to come, with an increased distance between people and politicians. Free speech will be more regulated/limited, and government surveillance will increase. A lot of this will be thanks to social justice movements, trying to create a society where there is less room to use offensive speech. The world as a whole will symphatice more with autocracies as they grow in population and power, and will more and more compete with democracy. I'm not sayinig the future is dark, but I believe it will be different as each generation will want to have something different.
