Hopefully Braverman so she can compete for attention with Farage and keep the Tory Party out in the wilderness for a couple of decades. It'll take that long for the British people to forget their self-serving, entitled, corruption and dishonesty over the past 14 years.

The very people who were part and parcel of the Tory government over the last 14 years, and who therefore contributed to its unprecedented loss at the election, have nevertheless got the nerve to stand as the party's leader. It clearly hasn't dawned on these contestants that we were all sick of the sight of them then and still are today. Whoever takes over as party leader will be just as hopeless as Sunak, who was totally out of his depth in the role of PM. I wouldn't be surprised that whoever gets in as Tory leader, they'll be handing Starmer at least one more term in 10 Downing Street, if not two!

The Tories do need to be dissolved as it is a brand that has been damaged beyond repair. I think in order to be a credible challenger to Labour in 2029, whatever emerges from this must have leadership and policies which are pragmatic and sensible. Elections are won from the centre ground and to win a majority, the said party needs to appeal to the biggest possible portion of the public which indeed lies in the centre. The further left or right a party goes the less people it appeals to and more and more it develops a reputation for being a party of protest rather than a government in waiting.
