I wouldn’t count out Reed Sheppard. If he plays well to start he could be the first guard off the bench. Plus, his shooting will get him the points he needs to be in the conversation. Plus, he’s very much an underrated passer and has a ton of scorers on the team to get him the assists he needs.

Regarding Castle. Shooting is the hardest aspect of the game to develop, and almost leave players entering the league as non-shooters, will eventually retire as non-shooters. And yes. There are exceptions, no need to name them all...

There is room to develop, that's for sure but it's a looong way even to 30% against better defences playing at faster pace than they do at college, and 30% would still be really bad. And as i said shooting is the hardest aspect of the game to develop. I'm not ready to write him off. That's not i said.
