Your student had made good changes about his behavior. He was not acting upset, keep it cool even with his partner putting his hand on his mouth

I believe the student even though he had a bad day that time he got upset I believe he has great heart and competitive drive and spirit sometimes people wired this way do blow over small things sometimes non of us are perfect

I have to agree with the other commenter. He had a bad day, who knows how it went, and he was out of sorts. Every one of us has had those days. People think I’m so relaxed and confident, but I’ve had days I come home and wish I could have done something better. I’m embarrassed for myself. 😂.

The power of wrestling! Imagine if he did Jiu-Jitsu for a couple years

I take nothing away from the wrestler, but Brian did mention the wrestler has submission wrestling background. Brian also did say the wrestler had 65 pound advantage.

Yeah he has experience for sure. I believe he placed third at blue belt worlds.

i mean...a purple belt has probably been training 4-6 years....an olympic wrestler has probably been on the mat 15+ years....

Obviously the Olympian won the wrestling match with his +15 years experience. Pinned his opponent for 37 mins out of 38. Clear victory there. But this was a submission grappling match. He only has 5 weeks experience there, going against veteran with +5 years experience. Not bad for a rookie.

AND the wrestler was 65 pounds heavier, on top of his years of Olympic training. He had an absolutely HUGE advantage. It was actually the purple belt who was more impressive for going the distance with him.

@@kallepikku4991 the Olympian had been doing sambo and submission wrestling since he is a kid and is a brown belt in bjj by the way

Emmm... Only thing we saw was 38 mins of Ground & Pound. Real MVP here was the commentator, trying hard to find something to talk about for 38 mins. 🤣

True but also GnP also opens him up to counters. If he continues to come in to train, my goal is to teach him to attack. There was way too much stalling.

Yeah I guess I used the wrong term technically. That's what came to mind because they have their own olympic team.
