This video made me realize why i like Mike's channel so much. It's the references, of course it is! First, the sheer amount of them, then it's the way that they're crossed and woven and built on top of each other in such a insane way (like, structuring a video about 2008 british teen movies around BRAT? sorry luv that's insane) that you are bound to understand something even if you only get one reference, it's so good. And also how relevant they are to the NOW. Rather than giving these videos an expiration date (cause pop references do get stale), it makes each video a snapshot of the pop landscape at the time of release (through the lens of Mike) and like, the internet as well. And that's is VERY pop, and on purpose as well, and that's very Gaga of you Mike. Also not to mention the many subversions of the KZbin video format, you're insane. So yes, your artpop could mean anything, and it means being chronicly online and being pop for pop's sake. Love you, love your art, keep it babe, bumpin' that

My biggest flex is that I was paid £5 per hour at age 9 to be an extra in St. Trinians. My eyeball is visible on screen for a whole second.

Another absolute BANGER of a video, Mr. Mic. Thank you 🙏 I'm so glad I've been streaming brat nonstop for a week cause I fully understood the references in this video (but more importantly because it's BRAT like enough said I don't need to elaborate) I appreciate the vilification of AI, too. You're so right ❤
