And I really liked GenoWhirl's work even prior to reading about his involvement with the animation. (Specifically, I wanted an Awakening rep in general with Robin being my #1 wanted of the possibilities. Didn't think we'd get two in Smash 4 with a third in Ultimate.)

This was such a fun and surprisingly calming episode. The voice actress for Wii Fit Trainer did an amazing job; I love how she was able to bring the character to life without drastically altering her presumed personality. Overall definitely one of my favorite episodes.

Thank you so much for having me on board as the voice of the Wii Fit Trainer! Regardless of outcome, this was such a fun project to be a part of! Everyone on the team did a fantastic job, mad props to the animators and writers especially, you guys rock! The comedy was just on point the whole way through, I smiled the whole time. This was filled with so many twists and turns that I wasn't expecting! And wow, man, look at all these cool channels with all that talent in this field! Clearly I've got some new videos to look into later on! ^^ A huge thank you to Sonix (you'll see him over in Graphic Development, his work is amazing) for not only his hard work, but also for sharing the audition page for this series in our circles, I would not have found out that this series existed if not for him. And I'm so glad I know it's here now, this is such a delightful community! I will say, I never expected to be in something like this, and I'm glad that it happened. XD For anyone who's new to my work, hi, I'm also the voice of Rouge the Bat over at Adrenaline Dubs, comic dubbing is my usual scene. I've been called upon for everything from your anime waifus to mom figures over the years. But almost a decade ago when I started doing voice work, a lot of the stuff I was a part of were sprite animations done by guys who were super inspired by stuff like Death Battle and DBZ. In some ways, I feel like I've come full circle, like now it's my turn to be a part of something that inspires someone else to pick up their craft and create, and that is a remarkable feeling. I genuinely believe that anyone can go and create something amazing with some hard work, practice, and dedication, and I hope that this reminds all of you out there to follow your dreams and kick some serious butt! This project marks a lot of firsts for me (I know, surprising, but we're trying new things every day!), and I'm just, so glad I auditioned. I'm so glad I got to be a little unhinged (that is a rare treat), I'm tickled by the ways that some of my takes and improv were used here, and the fact that it sounds as good as it does when I recorded most of this having recovered from a really nasty sickness makes me happy and relieved. XD If you guys ever need me again, don't hesitate to call, I'd be happy to return should the occasion arise. This was a genuinely awesome experience! Sending all of you good vibes!

That animation was great. Mr. Game & Watch slots in naturally as a screwball comedy protagonist and as bad as I felt for WFT, a normal human yoga trainer who can only take so much does make a great comic foil for him. Props to Kat Alyst for voicing her descent into insanity.

The animation and voice acting here absolutely made me adore WFT, and I didn't know that was possible. She's quite literally a mannequin person that does light yoga, but you gave her such a wonderful personality that I just can't not adore her.

This was a super duper fun one. For a vs. animation that somehow had virtually no actual fight whatsoever, it was a really fun and charming watch. Must have been a real challenge to plan out and make it still work even without the traditional conventions of a vs. animation, and y'all did a great job with it!

Fun Fact: A few researchers had some concepts for the intro of this fight that were really silly and drastic. One Researcher named "SomeGuy" had an idea that went like this "I just wanted Wii Fit to bust through the wall like the Kool Aid man and beat G&W up in his own home". The idea would have been Game and Watch playing Wii Fit but can't do it because he is flat, so he angrily throws the game at the wall and then Wii Fit Trainer busts through the wall and fights him. Another Researcher named "RealLemon" had a very drastic approach for a fight. His idea was "We open with WFT playing with a kid. Montage of her raising the kid from a toddler till they are like 8-10. We see them playing one day, then everything goes crazy. This is when they get teleported into Smash Bracket. They're in the middle of nowhere. Montage of them trying to survive and having a completely miserable time of it. They stumble of G&W, who makes the kid smile for the first time in weeks. They travel together, WFT is weirded out of G&W, kid loves him. Kid and G&W slip out one night to play, it's raining. Mudslide or something happens, kid pushes G&W away. Kid dies. WFT finds a bucket list on the kid's body. One of the items was "Help G&W be a real boy like me" or something. WFT breaks down crying, but swears to fulfill the kid's wish. Cut to the future, WFT is trying to teach G&W to be "normal." Tries to help him stretch, but he just teleports. Tries to dress him in real clothes, but he just transforms. And eventually, WFT just snaps, can't handle the grief or the stress from failing, so they just start trying to be more violent. Escalate to the fight from there". Also he said "I was picturing it ending in death to play up the depressing aspect of it. WFT wins and becomes extremely alcoholic to cope. G&W wins and goes insane over having killed their only parental figure" Very drastic idea for a fight as fun as this. But hey, that's what is funny about it! Also don't worry, RealLemon did not make this idea intending for it to be used. He doesn't even work on the choreography. He just decided to give it a try and jokingly try too hard. Anyways this comment is over.

I agree that Mr. Game & Watch stomps, but that speed of sound feat is sketchy. He isn't "fast enough that intercepts soundwaves." He is smacking cartoony music notes that float through the room like soap bubbles as cartoony music notes tend to do, so if anything it's more of something like a conceptual feat of music manipulation than a speed feat.

This was such a fun fight! Not a lot of actual fighting happened, but it didn't need to happen since these two aren't really the fighting type. There was TONS of personality and the voice of Wii Fit Trainer was also super good! Overall, it was just a really fun time that I enjoyed waking up to! As for the next time... As someone who is playing through the GBA Fire Emblem games I look forward to seeing how Fire Emblem will be treated under the refined rules. I look forward to seeing Robin win!

Even when going into this one, there really was no way Wii Fit Trainer could take this fight like given Mr. Game & Watch's transformations, she's literally fighting someone who can be considered a Cartoon character with Toon Force abilities. Next time with Robin and Rosalina, this might be a pretty even fight compared to the two stomps that we got back to back but hey, can't wait to see that one. Edit: Also I am going to call this now, Mr. Game & Watch is likely to fight Duck Hunt Trio in the next round.

Although there was no confrontation as such, it was something magnificent! see how WiiFit Trainner and Mr. Game And Watch interact. I wonder if anyone out there has tried this kind of format applied to the roster of a mashup tourney, like King For Another Day or Diary of a Tourney Kid. How would the matches go differently if they were decided not by an audience's votes based on musical sources and mashups, but by fights based on canon feats and analysis?
