Jehovah is a spirit, in that passage Jesus said we worship what we know and then talks about the Father that many will ignore him, but they are true worshippers of the Father on this day

I got this! The Books and Verses used by the Apostles during their homilies (in Mass) meant they were legitimate. So that was compiled into one Book, the Bible! Everyday I thank God for the Church, and the Holy Spirits guidance, knowing that Jesus will be with her till the end of this Age!

Thank you God for always pointing me in the right direction! I feel a spiritual warfare going on in my life since I’ve decided to walk with Jesus. I had an old friend reach out to me and tell me that a dead relative wanted to talk to me, I said no I’m not going to entertain this the Bible says in Leviticus 18:31 “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.” When I brang it up to my mom she was intrigued and wanted to know more she wanted me to reach back out to her and tell her she wanted to talk and I refused. She tried to tell me Mediums wrote the Bible and not knowing a lot about who wrote the Bible other than I believe it’s Gods word I came across this video!🙏 I believe the devil is at work and trying to deceive me. Even through my own friends and family I care the most about. My family is grieving my mom lost her brother Feb 11 and I lost my closest uncle he was like a father figure to me ever since my dad died. My mom believes they are trying to talk to us. I’m still praying for God to soften her heart and accept Jesus Christ into her life but it’s been hard! Pray for my mom.

The Bible is thoroughly divine and thoroughly human. The human authors used their minds to think through what they were writing, just as any author does, but God was superintending all that they wrote. However, the fact that God was superintending doesn't mean that the Bible is all of a high literary quality. God used 'good writers' and 'poor writers' to write parts of Scripture. For example, Hebrews is written in beautiful, elegant Greek. By contrast, the Greek of Mark tends to be quite poor in quality. However, it wasn't God's purpose to always inspire high quality of the style of language. But He did always inspire what was being said.

I think of the Bible like a sponge of God's word, soaking up truth over millennia in a process that started long before any of it was put to paper. This process we don't really understand but it's similar to the way you learn things in your everyday life: for example, you can learn incredibly complex musical pieces without any understanding of the science behind waveforms, superposition or harmonics. This Holy book has something of all of us in it, and has followed our many generations on our walk with God. It's not complete or exhaustive, there is no possibility of an exhaustive account of God's love and grace, or his wrath and judgement. That's not to invite casually written addenda: no it is clear to me in everything the Bible says, that lineage is vital; as Jesus was descended from David and David from Abraham. (This is why I cannot accept the Quran as holy, since Mohammed was not a Christian but a pagan before founding Islam, there is a break in lineage there.) Do you really understand what we have in this book: the Holy Bible? It could have been written another way, I suppose. God could have found another path for us, but it is such a long road that to start again would mean countless millennia in darkness. I am rambling and thinking aloud but what I'm approaching now is the realisation that even if we somehow, God forbid, lost all trace of the Bible, God would find a new way for us and in time we would restore his word. The Bible is a window through which we see only a fraction of God's light and warmth. I guess opening your Bible is like letting the fresh air of God into your life. :D haha I hope someone can understand my writing, I'm not very good at putting these kinds of thoughts into words.

The Orthodox Church fathers through the Holy Spirit gave us the bible.

Revelation 12 speaks of a great sign in heaven and describes what to look for . This happened on the 23rd of September 2017 then it goes on to say that 1260 day's later Satan will be cast out of heaven.... that takes us to March 5th or 6th 2021 depending on where you are in the world. Much of God's will has been enacted through humans. I understand your thought process as I have struggled with it myself and while I do future versions may have been altered a bit, God's original words were His.

@@VoDitas What would be the difference if God did the killing himself? He wanted it done so it was His will. That's the difference between those actions and murder. He could have written the Bible himself too but he chose us to be thy vessels.

The Bible 'book' = a compendium of fire side tales and fables, recounted orally for generations by goat herders and primitive tribes from the stone age, until writing was invented, and then, many different sources, transliterations, and versions were copied and written down.. ''The Bible was created during a time where stories were verbally passed down over hundreds of years. Stories constantly morphed and changed over time, and the Bible is a collection of these. This is why it has the nearly identical flood story from Gilgamesh, and why Jesus has the same characteristics as Dionysus, Osiris, Horus, Mithra, and Krishna. The contradictions and immorality in the stories are not evidence that God is flawed or evil, but rather that humans invented him, just like the thousands of other gods that we used to, but no longer believe in.'' ..and to answer the questions of the many fears and mysteries of our universe, like 'thunder' and earthquakes, since there was no science yet. That was the old Testament!
