Fun fact, a consistent translation error with Teddie rippled down, forcing this scene to be changed: In Japanese, it's a running gag that he doesn't actually know what he's saying when says "scoring" (because the term used, "gyakunan", only applies when girls are picking up guys, never the other way around), so in Japanese THAT is why Junpei thinks he doesn't speak Japanese well in this scene.

Blonde and blue-eyed is usually a way to convey that a character is supposed to be foreign. Thinking through Persona, you have Ann (Blonde hair, pale blue or green eyes, mixed heritage), Lisa (Blonde, blue eyes, 100% foreign), Bebe (same as Lisa). Japanese human characters either have colors that are just totally out there (Takaya's yellow eyes, Fuuka's copper-green hair, Eikichi's cobalt blue hair with the skunk stripe) or something _close_ to realistic (Ryuji's bleached hair with brown eyes, Mitsuru's maroon colors which are _close_ to brown, sometimes dark blue hair which is arguably just a stylized black),

The way they aged people from p3 is bizarre. This takes place during golden week after the events of p4. So its about 2 years after the events of p3. But in this time Akihiko went from a small frame to looking like Chris Redfield's workout buddy. Yukari's face looks like she aged 10 years. Ken had enough growth spurts to almost double his height. Fuuka and Mitsuru are the only cast that aged realistically.
