what are you talking about that DW doesn't attract A listers? You don't consider John Hurt, Derek Jacobi, Timothy Dalton, Penelope Wilton, Maisie Williams, Ian McKellen, Simon Callow, Anthony Head, Alan Cummings, Bill Nighy, Simon Pegg, Kylie Minogue, Zoe Wanamaker, Michael Gambon, Helen McCrory, Michael Sheen, Stephen Fry, David Morrissey, Toby Jones, Warwick Davis, Hugh Bonneville, and of course our beloved Bernard Crimmens, et al as A listers??

I was a bit surprised Thomas Brodie-Sangster wasn't included, especially when we could see him in the "Human Nature / Family of Blood" clips. Yes, he did have a couple of significant movie appearances ("Tristan + Isolde"; "Love Actually") prior to his Who role, but he was a young boy in those, whereas in Who he was a teen / young man, especially in the resolution of the two-parter. I was initially surprised that Carey Mulligan was "only" #3, but the two other choices at the top made sense. Good list!

He was also the original voice of Ferb on Phineas and Ferb. The role was sadly recast due to him being unavailable to reprise the role for the crossover in Milo Murphy's Law's second season. But I would say his big break was in Nanny McPhee as Simon Brown, two years before either of his roles on Doctor Who or Phineas and Ferb.

You forgot to mention that Olivia shared screen time with Michelle Gomez on one of "the" funniest sitcoms back in the 90's in the Green Wing. If you haven't seen it then make a point of it. 6:15 In 2023, Kaluuya also joined list-buddy Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man portrayals list, voicing Hobie Brown in Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers' animated movie _Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,_ a role that saw Kaluuya keep his London accent. Garfield always affected an American accent for his portrayal. Kaluuya, however, turned his British accent up to eleven, using Cockney rhyming slang. I myself have a personal connection to his role as Posh Kenneth on _Skins:_ I actually support his sport jumper's club, and in 2021, their total victory drove me three stops short of Dagenham.

@@AhsimNreiziev for that I would have to Google it. And since I don't care that much you can do that yourself. The title says "future stars" not "current stars," so if you're trying to invalidate my point by saying he's not a star anymore you failed.

@AhsimNreiziev Жыл бұрын
@@Th8rgoddess No, I was not trying to invalidate your point. But, seeing as you mentioned him, I thought you would have at least *some* idea of the things he starred in after _Doctor Who_ . Seeing as I don't know who he is (outside of "Midnight", that is), I thought you would be the best person to ask. But apparently not. And while it might not entirely invalidate your point, the fact you named a "future star" without apparently having any idea what the *future* projects were in which he *starred* , is in fact supremely disappointing, and also not at all in line with the question/challenge set by WhoCulture in this video. To that effect: notice that in this video, WhoCulture did in fact go through the modicum of effort of looking up the recent projects the people on this list are famous for, as opposed to just naming the _Who_ episode(s) they were in and expecting us to just know where their "future stardom" originated from. Unlike you, obviously. So while your point might not be invalid, per se, your skill at making comments on public fora that are fit for public consumption -- you know...... kind of the whole point of a *public* forum? -- is woefully inadequate.
@Th8rgoddess

@@AhsimNreiziev do you realize how entitled and stuck up you sound? First of all, you ordered me to tell you something you could have Googled. "Remind me..." is an order. If you want to start a conversation, ask a question. "What else have you seen him in?" or "Do you recommend anything he's been in?" would have gotten a far less antagonistic response from me. The video uses the time they were on the show as the reference for "future." There are several stars on this list who did things after being on the show but not recently. So, yes, Colin Morgan has done a major show and won awards that would fit into that criteria whether or not he is doing anything now or in the future from now. Yes, WhoCulture gave a very detailed report about their subjects. Because it's their job. It's a fair number of people's job to put these together. There's the presenter, the editors, the reachers, and other people on the team who work together to get these videos out so they can get paid for it. Demanding a fan do any of that labor for you, when Google exists, is completely unreasonable and rude. My comment was fine. You're expectations about what you would get out of your demand and unwillingness to use a search engine are the problem.

Merlin still has s strong and active fandom fifteen plus years after finishing, largely due to Morgan.
