Had the same problem with a delivery recently - game left on top of our "cardboard recycling" pile, and left there for 3 or 4 days in the piddling rain. Game also survived fine - hooray for non-eco friendly shrinkwrap.

Impressive, i was astounded as this was a ravensberger game so no shrink on the box.

I actually really love Alien FotN... I think it's great... basic, but great.

Not played it yet, looks cool. Isaac is obsessed as I've been Playing Alien Isolation and he's been rubbernecking that (such a great parent) so has taken to inventing his own version with the Alien BG.
