Man they don't make them like this anymore, I remember when rap had a message a meaning that you could understand with a beat that stayed with you. Sadly the music world is a different place. If you grew up to these jams I'm sure you miss them because they don't play what I love anymore.

@jjjos3 жыл бұрын
@@frankiejamespinedo7391 good for you mate, we call this old Skool, but when these tracks came out we should remember they weren’t old skool, hence the slang term of the day ‘fresh’, this was cutting edge, along with many other pioneers of hip hop, grand master flash etc, these tracks were hard to find before the internet, only select shows and pirate radio, rap was a brand new genre, but music always evolves, I particularly appreciate the production on this, it was a transitional rap track from pure electro, later hip hop used a lot more sampling (Eric B etc), then around ‘92 when you were born the whole west coast g-rap (Dre snoop etc) took off, but the early 80s rap was just unheard of at the time, unknown, and was strictly east coast New York, peace But (rip) the likes of Mac Miller and juice wrld still evolved hip hop, but these 80s tracks were pure original, all hip hop was built on this foundation, and so many years later still sounds ‘fresh’, and there was a whole culture, subway art (graffiti), breakdancing, we shouldn’t forget all that, without these pioneers we wouldn’t have Juice Wrld or Mac Miller (rip)

@@jjjos I know they weren't called old school when they came out. And freestyle wasn't unheard of in the west coast alot of people digged it, my family as well as others jammed these since they came out and listened to them well into the 2000's and till this day.
