Nice catch Brian. I like your methodical approach to clearing out clogs. Looks like you cut that copper back and put on a 1/4 turn compression angle stop. and a new flange as well... they appeared out of nowhere! Keep up the good work!

Your on a roll and we like it. I'm glad you found the "key" to your problem 😆. With all that what's 100 buck toilet at that point might shine up the place. You always gamble 🎰 with thoes water stops they tend to explode 💥. When I see one that's super crusty it gives me pause. We gotta do what we gotta do 👍

I can’t believe you snagged that Allen wrench 😂 What a saint, call a plumber in Ohio to an apartment complex and they’re cutting a hole above the toilet and going through the vent. I work in maintenance and everytime we’d get a clog we couldn’t clear the plumber would go strait to cutting a hole in the wall and going through the vent lol. It got to the point I’m like fuck it I’m not calling them anymore. And I just started doing it. At least I have the decency to put an access panel and a rubber boot on the vent when I was done. Honestly for rentals it’s the way to go, fuck pulling that toilet. Get you a hand held super Vee and go for the vent and it’s a straight shot down. I’ve cleared so many back ups after learning that trick.

Lol 😆 yea I had no clue how I grabbed the allen wrench! Yep we learn by doing and seeing. Why call if u can do it yourself and do a better job!

Did restaurant maintenance and had a toilet in the woman's room that would intermittently clog. Snaked it and would be fine. After multiple clogs pulled toilet and found a gals driver license stuck sideways in the trap.

They overcharge like that because the hvac guys use the higher price and that way it seems like they did more work. Imagine if you get charged 100$ for someone to change a 40 cent part that takes 5 min

Dude you gotta let the cable do the work. Pull out 10-12 inches then let the cable work itself into the drain you’ll be able to feel it hitting a turn or that tee where the vent is you’re jamming it in the line to fast.
@polishsharpshooter28762 ай бұрын
That must be why I’ve never gone up a vent. I do 12” and let the machine do the pushing
