My "cold infusion" method is in my stainless steel water bottle. Rinsed herbs of choice plus a few T of water and 8-10 ice cubes. Close and shake vigorously. Then add water to fill. Drink through the morning, refilling with more water as desired.

Oh! I happen to have? About 15ft of Antique Handwoven Linen in Raw Form! Natural colour. My Great Grandmother and my Grandmother Made the fabric IN Czechoslovakia in 1940! I keep the whole piece, occasionalky washing and sunning Dry, on the line. Then wrap it back in its Newspaper protection! A treasure!

Oh man!! Again we are on the same wavelength. I had picked up 3 sets of the linens back when you talked about them. They are truly amazing. In fact, when I was sleeping at my mom's I would take the top sheet with me. And...funny enough, I was planning on buying more sets to make skirts and other clothing. I will have to see what I can find by the yard. It's nice to be back! Can't wait to catch up on your video's from the last month. God bless!!

Heidi, i have had some trouble with Brazil nuts. I bought a bag this summer and was eating a handful everyday. I started having vertigo. I stopped eating them and the vertigo went away. I have had this same problem when taking magnesium supplements. I will admit the nuts were labelled "natural" but not organic, and the magnesium supplements were gummies that contained dye, so my effects may have been caused by additives in the nuts and gummies. Our area recently got an Azur Standard drop-off and i picked up catalogs at a homestead festival. I will be trying their products soon.

Mass iron in molasses, those with anemia. It's a strong flavored but, if you take just the tip of a teaspoon and dip it in molasses then let the excess drip back off, you can add it daily to your morning tea or coffee with minimal flavor adjustment. The day came in fact, when I missed it if forgotten in prep and now think it needs to be there. Cured my lifelong anemia, naturally

Hello, Heidi, I have a question for the people in the comments, if I may. Two Saturdays ago, I got Heat Stroke (I actually didn't know I had it until two days later because I didn't know the symptoms) after being out in the high-UV 117 degree heat for only 10 minutes. The nerves in my skin were already a little damaged from my diabetes, but the Heat Stroke completely fried my nerves and I am now unable to sweat. Even the day I got it, I'd been drinking 6-8 bottles of water a day. It may sound weird that I didn't know what was wrong with me, but I'd already been going outside every two hours to hose down my rabbit and chicken coops to help keep them cool and I'd been hosing myself off those times, as well. I should add that our hose water comes directly from the river we live next to, so it is very cold water. It was only when I noticed I wasn't sweating yet I felt uncontrollably feverish that I finally searched the internet for "why am I not sweating". I honestly thought I only had heat exhaustion even though I've been so weak I've had a hard time pushing my front door open and so hot I start getting dizzy. I use cayenne-infused oil on my feet sometimes when I have diabetic itch, but it's a very warming oil and I would not be able to handle that with the heat we have. My air conditioner is not the best, either, and I can't afford a second one right now. I'm still going through 6-8 bottles of cold water, many of them iced, but with having Diabetes 1 (since childhood), water goes right through me, even if I eat a higher-sodium diet. Even just a sip of water will go right through me, so it feels almost pointless to drink it (even though I know it's not). So the whole "drink water" mantra isn't helping. But I have read that Heat Stroke damage usually takes quite a few weeks to recover from. And unfortunately internet searching for "remedies" don't show me anything but things like What To Do and When To Go To The Hospital. I'm long out of the "need to go to the hospital" phase, but still in great discomfort and fatigue. And I live in California and don't trust the doctors in this state (I don't think I need to elaborate). So I'm hoping someone in the comments, or Heidi someone you or Patrick might now that have had Heat Stroke, if there are any natural remedies to help my skin nerves heal from such drastic nerve damage? I unfortunately don't have the option of taking it easy and relaxing inside, I'm the only one to take care of my animals and my daughter. Any tips would help, if anyone has any experience recovering from this. Thank you in advance.
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead Ай бұрын
O boy, I had not heard of this before. Sounds like you would eventually recover then and it is not a permanent condition? Hopefully there is someone out here that will see your comment and know what can help.

I read that its a waste of calories to eat more than one brazil nut a day because the body can only absord the paricular nutrients of one.The rest is wasted as its not absorbed. And brazils are 7 calories per gram. One nut is around 50 calories. Waste of cals and nutrients if you have a handful ....about 350 cals?? Thsts 2 bsgs of chips or ane small cake or czndy bar. Or a very big stemed fish and veg dinner. Or a huge salad. Any truth in this Heidi? Love always xxxx

Never heard of Brazil nuts ever being considered a waste. Especially when you consider the studies I mentioned how people eating as much as 25 in one sitting saw positive results according to an NIH publication and I go over that in this video on the benefits of Brazil nuts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anupZXmHmNyJo6c

Heidi, I’ve only been with your channel for about half aa year. But I need your help. I’ve been to urgent care 3 times since January and I am fighting bladder issues and UTI problems. I use cornsilk tea for the pain and I can’t take a lot of the antibiotics that work for it and they make me violently ill, and they’ve come up with a new one that seems to work but I’m doing cranberries. I’m making organic oregano tincture and I need to know what else I can use to help keep it healthy. I’m using D-Mannos as well.

No offense there's only one use for vinegar and that's the pickle things and to cook with and cleaning with well that's three uses but it's all under the same all this other stuff is pointless to what's going on right now people need to learn how to prepare how to freeze dry how to make jerky how to make pemmican how to plant Gardens that's what they need to learn it's coming for 2 weeks out of the way from martial law

Then go find another channel, if this one doesn't fit your needs. There is way more to prepping than making pemmican. Some advice, do YOUR own homework before putting someone on blast. Makes YOU look silly.

Weird how people feel the need to complain about that which cost them nothing. If they decided they no longer liked the free meal I had to offer they could simply move on instead of assuming it should be all about them. I cannot cater to each and every single individual and their demands but do have a great amount of wonderful followers that appreciate what I do and if the information I offer does not pertain to them, they just move on to the next video instead of feeling they are entitled for me to make every video to their liking.
