I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a Nest to AprilAire wiring/hookup instructions. You have NO IDEA how many people are searching for it. Please make that video!!!

I am curious to know approximately how much water is wasted with these units, how much passes over the water pannel and just goes to the drain? Is there a consistant amount that runs through, or is it basicly a drip situation, it just seems wasteful. thank you.

I saw another humidifer install video where there talked about it. It's a decent amount. For my municipal water supply, the cost is 0.6c/gal. Even at continuous use of about 2g/hr, that's 48 gal/day, or 29c/day. I had an hour meter on my Aprilaire 600 at my old house. I think is was maybe 400hrs/season. If so, 800 gal x 0.6c/gal -? 480c -> $4.80/season in water. If your water is more expensive, then that cost will be higher.

That's some strange add-on equipment in modest climates. Usually when you go into somebody's house, it stinks of mold and food odors from no ventilation. That is, if the stank pet waste doesn't get to you first. :)
