I added labelling as a condition to purchase after my inspection. I made the purchase conditional on a satisfactory inspection. Not sure if you can do that where you live.

my problem is the hole those latch arms go into, the thing in there that receives. its spring loaded i guess, and it popped up. Best way i can describe it, the door was being softly closed, which triggered it to spring up, but the door fell back a cm, so the receiver thing popped up inside without being able to grab the latch arm.

It’s very important to mention that the valve has 2 letters on the side H. AND C for the hot and cold water so is a must to remember how you removed the valve. Also is very convenient to use a screw driver with magnet to prevent to drop the screw

I have this exact model at work. Apartment maintenance tech here. Instead of replacing the whole control board, if you have a soldering kit, you can replace the transistor for the bulb. They usually run around $0.75 a piece and take no longer than 30-45 to do.

I got a ring pro 3 doorbell hard wired, noticed after about a year and a half I started to have to charge with the USB cord. Do these batteries go bad after awhile and need to be replaced? I have power from the transformer just seems the trickle charger is not working. Any thoughts?

Meh, it's only (and I'm being generous here) about 60% accurate. I have used this tool a lot over the last 3 years doing facilities maintenance, and can testify it's absolutely wrong at least 40% of the time. Whether plugged in or otherwise.

Great video!! I know that the parts can be found to replace. However, does GE sell the transmission with the parts included? I could only find parts separately. Thanks for sharing.

I worked in telecommunications and we have used toners and locators for a long time. I was wondering when someone would finally invent one for electrical circuits. The toner for an electrical circuit must be a bit more sophisticated, since all of the neutrals and grounds are tied together at the service panel.

As a residential electrician with 25 years in the trade, I can say this method of finding out what breaker services what circuit is not very accurate. A much better and cheaper way is to just use the plug tester and an extension cord. 100% accurate. You have to walk back to move the plug tester anyway. Start by turning off all the breakers. Choose a plug and insert the extension cord. Then go back and put the plug tester into the end of the cord. Turn on breakers on at a time until you see power. That will be your breaker you are looking for. If you really want to see what plugs and lights are on that circuit, you can test for more active plugs. Move the extension cord to another plug that has no power. Go back to the panel turn off the now identified breaker and repeat first step until you have marked all the breakers. Two pole breakers are easier to find the equipment they feed. Save yourself the cost of the expensive other tool, plus when you are done you know 100% exactly what breaker does what.

While that may work on a residential property where no one cares, trying this method in a place of business with 5 panels would not be practical at all. However, I do have this tool, and I would say it's about 60% accurate. Of which is not very good IMO.

Crazy. Residential homes all across America with panels not labeled. You would think building code would mandate 100% panel labels in all regions, counties, zones, in city limits, outside city limits, off grid crazies and any other location with at least one panel and one circuit breaker (😂). Sincerely, NFPA/NEC. Homeowners adding additional or upgrades to panels.....just label the dam thing!

Thanks for your vids! I've had one for a few years now and I think it's great. Batteries on mine last about 3-4 months but others may vary. I sat to install mine and I should have been standing when I programmed the finger print. The angle is a little off so one of these days I'll reprogram it. If I've been out in the rain it seems to work fine if the batteries are fresh but when the batteries are a little low I have to dry my thumb for it to open.

Got the bitch unstuck. It was a clamp U-ring from a damn Nalgene bottle cap! It was so stuck on the side of the chewing disc, I couldn't pop it up with my longest screwdriver. It ended up getting popped down, and I believe it's in my trap now. As long as it doesn't back up the sink, I'm not messing with it. What a SOB. I needed a strong magnet to get it out 3 weeks ago, but I didn't have one.

I had a aneurism seeing him drill through the cabinet and staple the hot water line to the baseboard…. People he hooks it right but this is the guy your shady uncle says we’ll he can do it cheaper… open up your drywall, split your hot water line like a man (pex is eassssy, copper not so much) and then install the hot water valve next to your cold valve and make it look nice. People don’t drill holes in your pricey vanity and then proceed to cable staple it to the trim. This will decrease your home value significantly. If you went somewhere and saw that you’d know it was the jankiest shot you’ve ever seen and can’t guarantee anyyy of the plumbing underneath the surface……..
