I'm 47, in my generation I grew up reading technical books (no internet) that by some inhumane law, had to be dry, boring, long and crazy complicated for no real acceptable reason. God bless you for making a good lesson fun and easy Big D! Your easy approach is like listening to jazz bro!🎷🎸🎼 in fact, it should be mandatory to play jazz in the bsckground while you cook and explain your method. Hmm then again youtube will outlaw it due to indecency !

That really looked great Alton. I love using rosemary and lots of it. And great horseradish sauce recipe. Now for my question. I'm figuring do have done this before with the rib bones cut from the roast and tied back on. I prefer doing this so I get the meat under the bones well seasoned but you didn't and I was wanting your thoughts on this. Anyway great cook,looking forward to your next vid. 😃 👍
@TheDawgfathasBBQ
@TheDawgfathasBBQ 4 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with that either bro. I do usually do what is called hinging the bones. You slice as I did at the end but you don't go all the way to disconnect the bones. Then you can season all over the roast and lay it back over the bones, tire it up and cook it. When you finish you have a small cut to release the roast from the hinged bones.
@victorbenner539
@victorbenner539 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheDawgfathasBBQ thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought of doing that hinge thing you mentioned, very nice. I will have to do that next time. Great tip. I like doing nice big roasts occasionally because as much as I like brisket, I have things to do and a roast at only 2 or 3 hours can be a great investment in time. Have a great day. 😃

Man that looks good. I will be trying that sauce next time i cook. I do just about the same but on a Weber kettle using the snake method with hickory and oak mixed. I know people love pellet grills but I’ve just never been 100% impressed. They are good, just not great. I give my salt brine 24 hours on meat that size or bigger. Give that a try Dawg, thanks
