Today we start on the Versailles Wholecloth design from Quiltable (remember code "asf10" will get you an additional 10% off your Quiltable purchase). I wanted to do things a little different for this one and show those of you who don't have the largest throat, that it's still possible. To show that, we are working in Pro-Stitcher Designer today. We will start in Pro-Stitcher Designer setting up our designs and splitting them into rows for easy stitch out in your personal throat space. Then in the next video, we will take it to the long arm and start stitching everything out.
I'm using the design from Quiltable, fabric from Connecting Threads, and metallic thread from Superior Threads. I will link everything below.

Connecting Threads (I used Jam in the Color Wheel Solids)

Superior Threads Metallics (I used N11 Violet)

Thanks for watching,
Adam
AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT'S JUST QUILTING!

As usual, you make this look so easy, Adam Sew Fun. Not only is this a tutorial on whole cloth quilting, but also on PS Designer! Thank you so much for teaching us these wonderful tools to make our quilting adventures so much easier.

I really appreciate you showing us how this can work on different machines. I have the Moxie and it's always a challenge to make sure I am picking designs that will fit into my throat space. I hard ordered Pro-Stitcher Designer and am now starting to watch this series you have taped and am so excited to learn as much as I can!

No long than I have been following you Adam, I have decided you need many more pairs of scissors in your sewing room. 😁 Very impressed with your skills.

Adam you mentioned you use Quilters Dream Poly. What’s the end difference in the Quilt when using Quilters Dream cotton vs poly?
@adamsewfun.
@adamsewfun. 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the loft of each. Some of them will look the same and some won't. I personally don't use poly in any quilt I will be laying under because it's just too hot and doesn't breathe. It's just a personal option though.

It’s just a different material. Poly is going to hold shape better but it doesn’t breath. It’s just me personally, but I just use poly in quilts that I won’t be laying under. I would get too hot.

If you purchased a Pro-Stitcher after January 2020, you should have Pro-Stitcher Designer.

Hi Adam, I have a question: When you were trying to split the center section so that it cd be stitched out on a smaller throat machine, and you had it simulate the stitching order, it went: 1. Lower rt 2. Upper rt 3. Upper left 4. Lower left. Could you have just rotated the design one quarter of a turn to the left, and then would it have stitched: 1. Upper rt 2. Upper left (Then tell it to pause?) (Reposition quilt) 3. Lower left 4. Lower rt ???? Instead of literally cutting it in half? So I’m wondering if you did that, would it change the stitching order? (would it stay attached to the original corner to start? Or would it by default always start at the lower right corner, no matter how you rotated it? ) Because if the start point stayed attached, and you rotated it, the first half would fit into a smaller throat space. Did I make sense? I have no experience with pro stitcher, so I don’t know what it’s defaults are.

Susan you blow my mind. What a great way to think outside the box. I could have done exactly what you are talking about. I would probably still break it into two designs, but rotating it first so you only have to split the line once would make it much easier. What a great observation that I didn’t think about on the fly when I was creating this video. I always look for the easiest answer to my problems.
