To reduce the tacky feeling on the vegan one, try adding olive wax. That dark tint looks great on you.

I was just thinking the other day that it’s so hard to find “nude” tinted lip balms for brown skin and you provided a natural diy solution once again. You can take some of those oils out of there and use alkanet oil very dark just seems a lot easier than putting all that other stuff in there

I totally love your videos and today I have officially learnt how to make tainted lip balm, I have done lip balms before but had know idea of how to make tainted ones using the wholesome approach. Another awesome video Elise thank you! Question: I’m sourcing my ingredients mostly in America. The rosemary extract I see for sale is simply a tincture and an alcohol base. Is that what you’re using? Is there a specific concentration? Because I see some concentrated versions. But when I look under reviews I don’t see anybody using them for make up formulations. I just want to be sure I’m getting the right ingredients

I've given up on tinted lipbalms except for the Asian ones. The ones sold in the US aren't too moisturizing on my lips. Just feels greasy on my lips. I do like experimenting with natural lipbalm recipes.

this looks so good! i can't wait to try it :) it'd hard to get candelilla wax here :( have you ever used soy wax in skincare formulations? i only have beeswax and soy wax.

I'm so glad! I haven't used soy wax in my formulas but it's a much softer wax than candelilla. I would recommend increasing the amount and reducing the coconut oil so that the lip balm isn't too soft 😊

I like the idea of using the Olus Oil, but I don’t find it available in the states for purchase. I know u mentioned in your blog to just skip it, but what would you use in its stead to keep the same formula? Increase the Lanolin or coconut 4.8g’s?

Fractionated coconut oil is also used as a replay for olus oil, so I would increase the coconut oil 😊

I made some cherry flavored last night using this recipe. Since Lanolin is an emollient, same as Olus Oil, I upd’d the % a little bit and then made up the difference using the luscious Almond oil instead of the Olus oil. It turned out wonderful, Perfect consistency. I will try the Fractionated Coconut oil though next time. Thank you for your lovely videos. I just love them and you. Your so beautiful.
