I just made it. I decided to use 7.5g of shea butter and 7.5g of cocoa butter. It’s amazing. My lips are so soft, got 10.5 tubes filled. Thank you.

I made this last Sunday and have really enjoyed using this lip balm throughout the week 😁 I especially like putting on a thick layer just before bed and waking up with super luscious lips 💋 I find some store bought lipbalms actually end up drying your lips out over time but definitely not this one. Yes! I have the same experience, this one has a higher butter/oil ratio to wax so hopefully that really boosts the moisture. So glad you tried this one out - even with my new version I love the simplicity of this recipe 😊

I made this lip balm few months back in the winter and I love it! It glides on perfectly and keeps my lip ever so smooth, has a slight glossy sheen to it which I love. I still have quite a lot left, should last a few more months probably. And so soooo much better than pricey store bought ones. Simple and easy to follow, thanks for your amazing recipe Elise ❤

I made my own formula and used Beeswax (cause I already had it-thanks for letting me know about the Almond alternative!), cocoa butter plus a bit of coconut oil and sunflower oil, plus some drops of peppermint and it turned amazing! I just wanted to ask how you usually clean out your tubes? Maybe u can share a how to video too? Cause I am having trouble cleaning tubes similar to the one you have!

Absolutely! Beeswax is a little harder than almond wax so I'd recommend starting with 15g instead of 20g. Thanks for watching! 😊

Ur wax needs to be at equal parts to the combination of ur oil’s butters n vitamin E.u also need to make sure that any essential oil u add is allowed by ur FDA n make sure u are adding the proper amount of that essential oil to the carrier oil because if u don’t u can make someone very very ill especially children under 12 years old.

Hi Rosabella, thank you! Almond wax should be available from online soap-making stores, but if you can't find it. Candelilla Wax is a more popular vegan alternative. And yes it's fine to use a preservative buy you'll need to add an emulsifier if your preservative is water-based 😊
