I've had my eye on the Profitec Go for a while, was hoping this video would give me a cheaper alternative. Guess I'll have to stick with it though, it's really the best single boiler out there.

Great review - gives me a good idea of what I’ll go for next. I’m glad you omitted junk like the Breville Bambino. I went through three of them and each broke down for different reasons. That company is a nightmare to deal with.

I have the Solis, and there are several issues. Pressure. With the unpressurized portafilter, the pressure will go up to 15 bars !!! The OPV does not kick in to keep the pressure down. That is kinda high compared to the recommended 9 bars. As a result, your shot will pull faster. Grind coarser to lower the pressure, and the shot will pull even faster. Shots are programmed, by volume (single or double shot), not time. I have not figured out how to manually control the pull time. Only with the pressurized basket will the pressure drop down to about 7 bars. The next issue is that the group head is made of plastic. And the shower screen screw goes directly into the plastic, not into a metal insert. The issue that I have is wear. Removing the shower screen, to clean the screen, WILL wear the plastic. So I very infrequently remove the shower screen to clean it. The head only has ONE water hole. This results in a PIT in the puck below that hole. You have to make a mod to deflect the water so that it will not jet out.

I can’t imagine starting my day without a great cup of espresso!! Really enjoyed this video once again Buck❤! I went from a Breville DB to the Mac daddy ECM Synchronica so I really understand that this gear is addictive in general (in a good way haha!). So here we are two grinders (yep he’s right you “might” not need one now but I think eventually you will) and two DB machines for our properties. Now we need a small one for the RV so this video is timely! BTW the espresso coming out of that Gaggia classic is SEXI AF and it’s been on my radar Forever.. but I must admit I’m not the most patient person before my double shot latte soooo what do you recommend for small space RV with a DB? Always love these videos so much! Cheers from 🇨🇦 😊

@@HeshamHafez00 I preordered the Move from these guys three weeks ago as soon as I found out. No Breville machines ?
@btabbyyАй бұрын
Too much plastic and low quality materials. Makes a great espresso sure… but maybe look into “healthier options”. As in no plastic that ever touches hot water, no aluminum, no pfas coatings. Supposedly brass is pretty safe… not entirely sure about that, but I bet the pipes leading running water into my home contains brass so wtf am I gonna do. Wish more manufacturers used stainless steel as it’s supposedly the safest. Food for thought. Not an attack, sorry in advance if it came off like that eh.
@rohanlg790Ай бұрын
@@btabbyy I own a $5000 profitec drive, And I also don’t want aluminium/plastics in my machine either, although even my machine has a Teflon steam wand so it’s cool touch. It’s pretty hard to avoid these days but I try and minimise it wherever possible. This is more if people are trying to buy a cheap machine, no one is going to pay over $1000. That’s why some of the Breville machines are fantastic for 500 to 600aud
I swear whole latte love get kickbacks, that’s why you only ever see Eureaka or Geado grinders, (even though I wouldn’t buy either ) they never show other brands besides (ecm, profitec, gaggia, rocket, ect….. there’s so many other Brands they never show, and they never disclose if they don’t get money from companies for product reviews.

I'm in the market for one of these but the only one I can consider buying within my budget constraints are the Gaggia EE. The machine I'm most considering is the Breville Bambino (not the plus model). Basically, if you don't have about $1k to spend on an espresso machine, don't bother to get one.
@Mmarin5193Ай бұрын
? none of these machines cost $1k and there are many other machines well below $1k that are worth getting. Grinder matters more than the espresso machine....

Well, in my personal opinion Gaggia lost my trust due to the boiler issue. My 10 months old GCEvo is currently being investigated by local retailer because I found the coating debris coming from the steam wand. If I did not purchase a lot of GCEvo accessories I would go for Profitec.

This is not a review lol it's a presentation of the machines they sell. You will never see them give an honest opinion that would undermine their sales of a certain machine. This is a store with a successful youtube channel not a espresso machine review channel.
