I'm sorry that I can't provide the name of the AI or even the video, but I recently saw the first tiny bit of a video before deciding that it wasn't something I was ever going to do so I went on to another video. The video was illustrating how you can use a certain piece of AI software to create faux staging images (possibly videos?) for local realtors. It's a really good idea and both far cheaper and faster than conventional staging.

Great stuff Sarah but with KDP, you have to subtract the cost of printing first. What's left is then a 60/40 split between you and Amazon. So, if you're selling the book for 6 dollars and it costs 2.50 to print it, you subtract the 2.50 from 6 to get 3.50 and then you get 60% of that or 2.10. At least that's how it's working for my word search puzzle books.

KDP charges 40% of the selling price and you have to pay a printing fee from the rest 60%. If you are selling a book for $10 and the printing cost is $5, KDP will charge $4 fee and you have to pay $5 for printing and your profit would be only $1.

@@WholesaleTed Actually, clickmaniac 76 is correct. You get 60% of the selling price and the Amazon deducts the print price from your 60%. They make out like bandits but they do have a large pool to draw from. Price of doing business.

It's "the" platform for selling ebooks, but you pay a TON of your potential income to Amazon for having them handle everything for you.

Etsy stores aren't free Sarah, you said this in the candle segment. At least in UK we have to pay a set up fee.

It's weird because for most people it is still free, but "some" (Etsy is not clear on what "some" is) have to pay $15 USD. It seems to be assigned to stores they think will require additional security checks since that is what the fee is for. It doesn't seem to be regional based, I know people in the UK that weren't charged that fee. I would have liked to have clarified that some people be assigned that fee but I have so much to discuss in such a short amount of time, I honestly just sometimes forget things like that, I am sorry! It is a good point though 🙏

Hi, re the candles, surely that is the gross revenue you would still have to take off base cost, fees and taxes, although still a fair income for relatively little work.

Yes, that is its sales number, not it's profit number. We often use sales because you can then apply your own costs to it because those could change depending on for example, where you source your candle from. But it is a ridiculous amount of money regardless you are right, haha - the candles are crazy popular!

There is no way around this. I would recommend picking a different business model that matches better with your skillset & what is available to you. For example, I can't use TikTok Shop in New Zealand. So I just chose to use platforms I can use and focus on different business models :)

The "best side hustle" is to have a channel about the "best side hustles ". First, if your doing so well with these side hustles, why tell people about them? You're effectively creating a ton of new competition for yourself, and putting those niches in danger of oversaturation. Second, the potentially thousands of people who try these side hustles after having watched your video will have the same dilemma.

It's interesting because it is free for a lot, if not most people, but not some. Etsy is charging $15 USD to "some" new stores as a setup fee. The purpose of the fee is to pay for the staff to do the fraud check on the indetification. So I wonder if the "some" stores that get charged it are ones that trigger red flags in their system that they think they will need to do a security check on, whereas the ones that Etsy charges nothing don't have them. I honestly don't know, it is an odd system.

You are confused and misinterpreting the numbers she is presenting. The numbers are the sales figures, not the profit because each person doing any of these products will have a slightly different profit depending upon how much they choose to spend on the initial product. There are many POD companies that offer different candles with a variety of price points available, and other features that you can sometimes include, such as adding a tag, or wrappings etc that may eat into your profit but will elevate your product. It's a personal choice and the end profits will be different for each person depending upon their choices.
