Ive got such a limited budget (husband works while I stay at home and take care of the kids) but we also have a blank slate acre property. It's not even fenced it. It's so daunting! We're going to do as much work ourselves as we can and we're both really handy. I'm building a pergola this Spring, for example, and expansing our patio around the side of our house to make it a wrap around porch but again, it's all so daunting and costly! I highly recommend chip drop if people want a ton wood chips for free. That's one thing I've found that helps and can be used in place of mulch from the store. ✌️

Thank you Jeff!!! I appreciate it! What’s really cool about the situation is the fact that the homeowner recognize that that was not my intention and they referred their friend to me the other day. I created a design for their friend and we just landed a $50,000 job. Doing the right thing 100% pays off! I would’ve done the right thing no matter what but it is kind of nice to earn some business at the same time. Thanks for watching and comment!❤️👍🏼❤️

I love to hear a company own up to their mistake. I had a shower installed that caused a plumbing issue for us. The company refused to say it was an issue they caused. I will never recommend them to anyone. I paid them $9,700 for this shower and they refused to pay my plumber and the night in a hotel it caused us to pay for.

I respect that you did a video this. How did you address the firepit seating issue?
@BobbyKDesigns2 жыл бұрын
@Joe Pizzo. Thank you Joe. The fire pit was my thoughts after I saw it. The homeowner was fine with it. They just wanted a little cozy area for them to hang out (mommy and daddy spot while the kids play) so it worked out. In the future, I'm going to make sure that the square footage of the patio is bigger. That is why this looks a bit off, we had to meet their budget. Thank you for the comment!

Do you have a tip for a patio installed in two parts. Same contractor, supposedly same pavers, part 1 installed in July and 2nd part in September. The new pavers were slightly different shade but contractor assured us once it rained it would be fine. The part 1 patio has a grey cast and part 2 has a brown cast. The landscaper has talked with the paver vendor and they insist it’s just a different batch. Grey and brown aren’t a batch issue - they are different colors. We don’t know what to do or who to hold accountable (including us for doing a patio in two parts). A new air conditioner unit ended up being so big that the patio needed to be expanded. Any tips for what we can do?
@BobbyKDesigns2 жыл бұрын
@Pat Ward. Thank you so much for the comment and here is my advice. Get a receipt/ticket for the pavers for Part 2 so that you have proof that what was delivered was indeed the same paver. I have run into this many times where different batches do look quite different but are indeed the same paver so the only thing you can do is confirm that it is the same paver and if you don't like it then go with a different paver that is as similar as possible. How you can make the patio look cohesive with 2 different pavers is to add an inlay which separates the two patios so that it actually visually enhances the look of the patio and doesn't make the new pavers stand out like a sore thumb. Good luck with it and please make sure to subscribe as you will find some great value in some upcoming videos!

I been watch and all say is the designs is nice. But when it’s not your money going on it. It’s easy to say oh to get this or that design it’s going to cost $50,000- 100,000. I still don’t understand why people would even put a fireplace outside unless it’s in a closed in space for the winter. And landscaper don’t think of saving anyone money on the material it just buy, buy, buy.

The fire pits are great here in Missouri. Awesome for fall nights. They’re not expensive, around $400 for the entire kit, and really bring people together for great conversations.
@anitaerickson19712 жыл бұрын
@@BobbyKDesigns that is nice, but I wouldn’t spend $400.00 to heat the outside just to bring people together. Building a wonderful fire pit for $80.00-$100.00 is wonderful.
