One of the best parts about the trading post is seeing all the people whining about butterflies and pretty colour schemes, like the vast majority of transmog outside of the trading post isn't the opposite of that.

People that dislike the cute, non-Warcraft items on the Trading Post: you have the entire rest of the game for War themed, spiky, fur-lined, in-universe transmog! The Trading Post allows some of the art team to play and produce transmog and collectibles that a large portion of the player seem to want; stuff that would not fit when placed in quests or dungeon/raid rewards. Blizzard have obviously looked at their numbers and seen their retention rates for people completing the Traveller’s Log and which items are being bought. If they weren’t popular, we wouldn’t see as many as there are. So go on, let people have light-hearted fun and you can play the rest of the (20 years worth of) game! 😊

People wanting aesthetic purity in a kitchen sink fantasy game have clearly forgotten all the mismatched clown armor sets people wore before mogging. Bright red pants with green shoulders, furry vests, wrestling belts, and pimp hats. Nothing says immersion in old WoW like seeing someone who raided the costume closet of the school theatre club.

Considering the Trade Post UI says 'March' in the theme title - I'd assume it's not February The Twilight Witch outfit and Fox mount was actually only up for purchase last month (December 2024) for the first time - before this, it was an ingame shop purchase for real money. I'm assuming that's a placeholder because it'd be weird for it to be up for purchase again 2months later.

The Fur-endship mount, which is a pink fox mount with wings when it flies was the Valentine's mount last year. The Twilight Sky Prowler was made available last month, so maybe it's a place holder & they'll have a spring color if it's for March or Noblegarden in April, like a light green or blue, or even yellow one.

You know, since we're getting more currency now they better not start adding more stuff than they usually do to compensate. Shit's already too expensive with how many items we get each month and how we only get 1k currency per month as it is. If they start putting more items in than they used to then giving us more currency isn't going to do shit.

Why do some ppl always have to complain. This is basically free stuff we’re getting and you don’t even have to work for it since basically every in-game activity counts. Unless you’re not playing. Imagine if the government started mass-producing lambos such that every household had a lamborghini in their driveway, in parking lots and traffic jams, lambos everywhere. People would get totally sick of these cheap-ass (but high quality) cars everywhere. That's what the trading post did to hard to obtain prestigious gear. Being able to flex your shit in busy hubs was the dopamine reward for working hard at the game. And Blizzard ended that.

Blizz will add anything and everything to warcraft besides the actual WAR. I like some of the cute and fluffy transmog, but at some point it gets old and the desire for actual WAR themed transmogs and mounts becomes overwhelming. It's either pirate stuff or butterfly stuff these days and it's boring. Metzen was supposed to bring this game back to how it used to be but I just don't see it. I need brutal transmog. I need sext transmog. I need something that stands out amongst the 30 records of the same basic BS they keep giving us.

@Ikaraii Yeah and the rest of Warcraft is severely lacking in brutal and sexy transmog. The art team does not use the trading post for transmog that a large portion of players want. They use it for massive recolor of cloaks, hoods, and basic designs. And the worst part is that it's all overpriced. Not in the way that we should be able to afford everything every month, but who pays 500 tender for one random transmog set? It's either buy that or a few small pieces that still do not blend in with past transmog. If the art team actually cared, then they would have given us a way to dye our own transmog. Anyways, you say that this is stuff that won't fit in with quest rewards or dungeon rewards and I say that's crap because they can make it fit in as rewards and they're doing it right now with Siren Isle. Actually they're doing it in a horrible way because it's all just recolor again. The art team has failed to make anything good for the trading post since it's inception. Have you noticed everything clips when you put on the new ensembles? Terrible design when the cloaks clip in with the belt and legs. And sure, people can enjoy their light-hearted fun. I sure enjoy it sometimes too. But how long does it have to last? We had one good expansion in 2016/17 and then the excitement for WoW tanked and besides the hellscape of The Maw, nothing has felt brutal or dangerous in WoW since the end of Legion. No transmogs look awe inspiring and make you feel like a monster. Nothing you equip shows an ounce of skin and makes you feel like a fierce and sexy warrior like when you see the Kaldorei running around in skimpy bikinis slaughtering orcs in the good ol days.

I dislike the 'exclusive' cutesy items in the Trading Post. I would def rather it be in game items. Don't screw people over by letting them purchase a mount other people grinded for cause that's not fair. Quest items or items that are no longer available is what they should be offering.
