Whoosh Motorsports Fiesta ST S280 Turbo

Loads of parts from Whoosh Motorsports, Adam at Tune+ on the tune! Stock fuel system on Oklahoma 91 octane (e10). Around 25psi boost. Starting to see AFR's trend lean after 6000rpm so it looks like we are running out of fuel system. Will add more fueling parts and get back at it!

I went with the GTX2860R over the s280 for my fusion. But I believe the s280 just performs better because of the weight of the fiesta st

The 2860 is a great unit! The fiesta kit seems to have a couple issues but that isn't the turbos fault, both are huge upgrades.

@@91greenlx not even close if your going lean at 6k on 91….probably 270whp. Unless youve got a dyno graph..not a vdyno

Damm bro, that thing is a BEAST! Can i ask if you replace the S280 wastegate with an aftermarket one? Because hopefully next month, this turbo will be installed in my car too. But the tuner said better to use the wastegate of this turbo instead of aftermarket one for engine safety reason.

Yes I've always used the 14psi WG, the stock s280 actuator is super soft and will taper off boost pressure in the upper RPM range.

@@terryakivlogs8873 probably closer to 280whp on 91 octane and 300whp maybe a smidgen more on ethanol.

@@terryakivlogs8873 no, your not going to make over 270whp on 91 stock fuel. The “300” on S280’s is so rare, even with the best variables (fuel,air,temps).

@@91greenlx It's going to make a HUGE difference in operating temperature management. I live in Arizona and my car would overheat after one run up South Mountain easily. After I installed the Mishimoto radiator it's impossible to overheat the car. Keep in mind this is on a day fo 105+ degree weather! I can actually run this thing up a hill at anything over 65MPH for several minutes now and have no issue. The only time it got hot was hauling up several mountains at 5K+ RPMS for about 10 minutes. It would then start to slowly creep up but after a minute of cruising speed it went right back down to where it should be. But I was pushing it to maximum capacity in extremely hot weather in the summer.
