I'm trying to be charitable to Ardal and i'll agree that first line was amusing (kinda thing Colin would say the odd time in the show) but the quality from him nosedives straight after that. Way out of his element - they did get some good talent to help fill the void from Slattery (Caroline Quentin was pretty good in her appearances) but there were some truly awful ones during this period and Ardul is right down there with them.

I thought Ryan's 'Date' personality was 'Giving Breath' and I'm thinking, hmm that's unusual, perhaps it's during CPR, but then he's getting mad, oh asking for drugs, yes, emergency situation, makes some sense. Only after Greg gave the right answer did it all come together!
