I like striper fishing so I’ll probably never do it from a kayak, but it seems well thought out in design and your walk through was thorough as usual. I have friends interested in fishing kayaks that I will refer to the review. Many thanks

Yeah, this one is not in my price range or style I'm a river/small pond type fisherman but I did help with the early version with some feedback on the prototype so have a lot of firsthand knowledge on a wide verity of fishing kayaks and its always exciting to see how the finished product turns out! Thanks for watching Tmac

Striper fishing is amazing on a kayak. Had one pull me around Carters lake for about 30 minutes

Wade the bonafide p127 is going to be under my Christmas tree it's Roland mcClendon I need your advice on what lighting accessories should I get for my new p127
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
I have never put lights on any of my fishing kayaks I do run a Yakattack visual carbon pro with a light if going out early morning I know a lot of anglers do light it up and have seen some but just never did it myself so can’t help you there buddy

If you were given a choice between a Bonafide P127 or a Native Slayer 12.5, which would you prefer?
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
P127 is just more features built in both are good but like the rod storage and overall layout and feel on the water of the p127 but the rudder and turning is way better on the Slayers was really the only real negative to me of the P127 was the turning wasn’t as tight as most and needed supper plugs in the front 2 suppers because they were low
@JorgeGonzalez-dl6zz2 жыл бұрын
@@WadeHarrison So do you think that the Slayer would be better for me to buy? And regarding my height and weight, which would be better, well, 10 or 12.5 feet?
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
@@JorgeGonzalez-dl6zz that’s difficult for me to answer for you because personally I like a smaller more compact kayak 10 footer seem perfect for me I’m ponds and medium size lake’s mostly so a 12’ just seems overkill to me

How shallow can you go with the pedestal system down?
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
I think the drive drops about 16” below the hull so can’t go really shallow have to be mindful when coming into the boat launch and shallow areas but that’s king the same with all pedal drives
@mikewheeler34493 жыл бұрын
My question is the pedal drive. I fish in places with stumps and lay downs that you can't get a powered bass boat in. Does the pedal drive have a kick up action so it won't break the drive if you hit something going at a descent speed? Thanks
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
It’s held but a small latch if you hit something hard enough with it latches it will break it but you can use it with the latch undone and if it hits something would just raise up
@TopsailOutdoorAdventures3 жыл бұрын
I wonder if it would hold up well in a saltwater environment.
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question and I’m not completely sure I do know this drive itself has been in native for years and have been through a few updates and I do follow a lot of the kayak pages and have not seen issues with that pop up but would be a good idea to call in or message Bonafide about anything like that..
@TopsailOutdoorAdventures3 жыл бұрын
@@WadeHarrison I wish it had a High/Low seat, but apparently it's not adjustable. Seems like a high seating position for any kind of rough water.
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
@@TopsailOutdoorAdventures yeah it’s difficult to make that happen with this type of drive just like the native boats

What do u call that lil pad under the mightymount and paddle tolder? I was lookin at the p129 and I never see them in the pictures and really like how thats set up
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
Those are inhouse made attachments that Bonafide made for the paddle holder and never really given a name that I'm aware of they are just called tank mounted paddle holders and they are only on the p127 as of today but have spoken with Bonafide about making these aftermarket
@brandonsmith33072 жыл бұрын
@@WadeHarrison I gotcha. I was looking at a p127 and all the pics iv seen never have the paddle holders so I was tryin to figure out how to piece them together
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
@@brandonsmith3307 they 100% come with the boat already installed in the tank well tracs if you seen pictures without them probably just took them off you could make something like it all it is a cut piece of starboard drilled with a mighty Mount and taco clip with T bolts to go into Yakattack tracs
@gmanadventurer88923 жыл бұрын
Would be nice to see those Quickdraw rod holders sold separately, so we could mount them on other kayaks.
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
Yeah you would need rod tip holder to make them work but could probably fabric something up in the front

This looks exactly like a hoodoo impulse only twice as much
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
Lol the fact you compare Bonafide to the hoodoo brand is hilarious hoodoo pretty much took a Bonafide and copied it and then got a knock off hobie drive and dropped in the impulse Nothing wrong with that and I would like to give one of the hoodoo a go at some point I agree they are way cheaper And don’t looked half bad
