Awesome find!! I think that's what's wrong with MY car...VW mk4 R32. It feels like a click sometimes and sometimes just feels weird. However, I haven't looked down there, so I'm just speculating. BUT, if it has a bracket, it may be the problem, so thanks for the cool video and EXCELLENT job being thorough!! Nobody really is these days, so you're above your peers....

M&M makes a reinforced clutch bracket and assembly. MDP also makes a brace that you can install to reinforce the bracket. I'm planning on the getting the M&M clutch and the Ktuned slave cylinder that doesn't have the flow reducer. Subscribed for more TSX content!

Good to know. I'm checking out an '06 tonight that the seller states "2nd gear is worn down", I wonder what that means? For the price, I can skip 1st to 3rd gear lol. Hope the deal works out. Anything else I should keep my eye out for? Common issues with the early tsx's? Luckily, it's not a navi car so no climate control issues to worry about.

Easy to check if the brake bracket is bad, which would cause shifting issues but would more likely be all gears. But 06 should be good motors if previous owners kept up with oil changes. 04 - 05 seems to burn oil but that's just from my experience. Could just be most these owners not doing regular oil changes but I have read other people complaining about a defect or something with that year motors. For 2nd gear being worn down sounds like previous owner really abused that transmission racing and stuff or just don't know how to drive. But from my experience if gears are worn down just sounds like hard abuse. Hopeful its a really really good deal for you. I not trying to scare you away from the deal but just do your due diligence.

@@jsrebuilds3951 I bought it. Super clean body, no dents, no rust, blue paint w/ black leather interior. Needs rear brakes & a caliper. 2nd gear just does nothing, didn't grind when I accidentally shifted into 2nd out of habit, I didn't release the clutch, but the guy said it just does nothing. Everything besides an air intake is unmodified and clean title. typical power steering leak lol. For the price I couldn't pass on it.

I had the same issue. Honda told me that my firewall was flexing. They didn't know about the common issue of broken assemblies. I looked into it and was able to order a new oem clutch pedal assembly. I had mine reinforced with steel plates and rods. But I found out M&M Honda actually makes a replacement pedal that comes beefed up. Good luck with it!
