In the past five years, Japan had two movies being nominated for Oscar Best Foreign Language Film (Drive My Car in 2021 and win, Perfect Days in 2023) while South Korea had only Parasite (2019). In TV category, South Korea has Squid Game while Japan has Shogun. In 2024-2025, Shogun won numerous awards from Emmy to Golden Globe, with all three main actors winning acting categories.

What happened to Jackie Chan? I miss movies like the tuxedo, rumble in the bronx, the spy next door, etc. We grew up loving his movies. He was as much a part of our childhood as the sandman.
