I have my 28 on today - it's been great for the money - and is also very good as a rapid 'candids' lens too; set at f/8 in good light you don't need to zone focus as the AF is fast enough to feel instantaneous

Great portraits, mate. I have the 28 but the 55 seems glued to my camera. Might have to whack the 28 on this Christmas. Thanks, mate.

Great vid. I mainly use 35mm for environmental portrait work as this has always suited me but have recently bought a Nikon ZF with the 28mm f2.8 - going slightly wider (from the 35mm) REALLY works well. I've now done 2 shoots using this combo and plan to continue with it for a few more ...

thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. ya the 35mm is great, feel like you can anything with that lens. Funny thing is I actually traded my 35 for the 28 that I was discussing in this video. Knowing me I'm sure I'll find my way back to the 35 in the future in trade again for it. The cycle never ends....

I loved seeing your point of view. I'm the opposite. I prefer at least 50mm and often 85, but what I like in your POV is that of course there's a lot more flexibility. Plus, I love learning things I don't often do myself. Great post. Thank you for this!

That's really kind of you to share, thank you. Ya recently I picked up a 55mm (similar to 50mm) and have kinda fallen in love with that one so I totally get where you are coming from.

@fixedkorea it's fun that we can try so many varieties.
