I once interviewed Linda Perry and forgot to hit the record button as a 1-person crew 😅 She gave me a bit of a hard time yet let me redo. It was at SF Pride 2011 or 2012.

The group got signed relatively quickly which probably played part in half the members getting the boot. They formed in 89 then got picked up by Interscope in 91. Up until then, they never toured or played shows out of california so they didn't have the longevity to be a tight musical unit.

Linda Perry's solo album In Flight may have been a "commercial bust" but it's an artistic achievement, check it out if you haven't heard it. The 4 Non Blondes album was so successful, I don't think it mattered much to her whether In Flight was a hit or not, That's not why she made it.

Janis Joplin was ahead of her time, and a one-of-a-kind household name for those reasons. I’m neither a fan of Janis nor Linda,but I appreciate their talent. Well linda has written and produced several hits for other artists....she wrote the song beautiful for her comeback album but the Christina Aguilera sang it in her studio when perry was producing her and said she knew then th3 song was meant for her and allowed her to record it.same with get the party started she wrote it goofing around on a sound machine then sometime later after meeting pink gave it to her...perry is no one hit wonder she's just choose to go behind the scenes...she also scores many movies
