This is a great video Ivana! I’ve only just had your channel pop up in my feed. This cuts through and dispels so much of the fat loss nonsense out there on the internet. In my opinion, this would have to be some of the most honest, detailed and accurate information available on the reality of people achieving their fat loss goals. Well done!

Hi Ivana, you were talking directly to me. I have been off weights for a month since vacation and eating too little. My problem is that I cannot eat more than 1300 whole-food calories. I am 65, female, 130 pounds. I just can’t seem to up my food to gain more muscle. I have been lifting on and off for 24 years. How can your coaching academy help me, as I need direct guidance on nutrition to get in more food? I always eat 130 or so grams of protein. I eat well but not enough. Thank you.

@@gaylegreen6219 In The Lean & Strong Academy, you'll learn how to evaluate your nutrition and exercise plan and make the changes that you need to gain muscle and lose fat. It's great that your protein is already high, but tracking other parts of your nutrition for a period of time could be helpful. Lifting "on and off" is likely part of the problem, as muscle retention and growth comes down to consistency with training and eating. I do give personal guidance with the program (through the community) to help you overcome specific obstacles. Please email me at ivana@ivanachapman.com if you have further questions about how the Academy works. :)

A bit of chocolate here, a salty snack there, thinking that my daily exercise would keep the pounds down!! NOPE!!! Not happening! Thanks so much for this info and your channel!!!!!!😍😍😍💪💪💪

Dang! You covered it! Great job. My total weight loss goal is 20 pounds and that would get me to a really flat stomach. I dropped 7 pounds the first month and now I'm going back way off with a goal of 3 pounds per month. I eat a Whole Foods diet and only eat between 10 and four. And I don't eat on Sundays. 8000+ steps per day six days a week. And now I'm trying to kick myself in the ass and get the strength training in three days a week. But that's working for me. I used MyFitnessPal for the first couple of weeks just so that I have a better understanding of calories. Now that I understand it I don't count calories anymore. One yummy cheat meal per week max.

Thanks Ivana. This makes so much sense. I’m going to try and see what happens. I don’t want to lose weight but want to build muscle. I lost a lot of weight through diet and IF. I’m now at a total fat of 12% but I find it difficult to build muscle even if I eat enough protein although eating is a mission for me. I try force myself to eat though

I am down to last 10 lbs and struggling so much for almost last 6 months...its REALLY hard to lose last 10 lbs vs. 30 lbs before. So much self control required. One chocolate or one scoop of ice cream or one piece of cake wont hurt or one weekend splurge wont hurt is always there and struggle is real. :(

Sodastream bottles are meant to be exchanged. It seems like you collected some empty ones. Either you return your old bottle and get a cheaper new one or if you don‘t want a new one, you get money back.

Hello, 2 years ago i went to a nutriologist i was about 105kg and after 3 months of dient I was in the range of 87kg, for me it was a huge acomplishment but I worked and still work sitting behind a desk so eventually my habits changed for the worst and ended up back again on the 105kg, Now that I have a bit more of time off on this other job I want to start working out on my muscles since I lost all the strenght and range of motion that i had when I practices karate and tae kwon do when i was a kid, what excersices would you recommend with 2 5kg dumbbell, how many reps, I dont want to invest too much in equipmemt since the low salary in my country dont let me afford wasting it, Im looking to get a slim body again and I might take again the diet but with a few changes since some of the things in there now are way more expensive than 2 years ago. Im in the sad state that doing 30 reps continiusly with 1kg dumbells makes my arms sore. Im becoming 31 in a few days.

Hi there. I have a question. So, I indeed have lost 37 lbs so far without much exercise. Recently for the past month-2 I've been doing walking and nonstop core exercises so that I can tone up my core once the remaining fat is gone and then I see it. But I'm down to my last 10 lbs, or at least I hope that will be enough. I am 5'4 and weighing at 120 lbs... trying to be 110 and remove the remaining belly fat. You said near the beginning of your video that if you don't do weight lifting or whatever 2x a week, that your belly fat will still hang there even after the fat is lost? Unless I misunderstood, as long as you are in a calorie deficit, even without exercising, that belly fat will be gone. It just won't be toned if you don't do any sort of muscle training, of course. So I was wondering if you could clarify that part for me? As my belly fat is my #1 insecurity ever.... I have become extremely thin but have all this remaining fat in my mid section that I am hoping to all be gone by the last 10 lbs finally. Thanks! Looking forward to your response!

At 54 years old I have slowly lost the weight I put on after menopause and gained more muscle through resistance training. It was through incremental dietary and workout tweaks, and it took 2 years to lose 20 pounds (I'm 5'10" and down to 129 lbs.), but I still have that wee bit of lower belly fat ,and sadly, it looks like cellulite (unless I stretch or hold my arms up). If it weren't for the cellulite I'd be happy where I am. I couldn't care less about a 6 pack, though I can see it from certain angles, albeit with a thin layer of cellulite on top. My mom had lots of cellulite on her belly, but she has always been a little overweight. Some would probably consider me underweight, but I still have the darn cellulite 😐

My bodyweight fluctuates by about 10kg a year (90kg/100kg) naturally between summer and winter. I naturally lose weight into summer as I’m more active and appetite is suppressed and vice versa in winter. Were I to want to get leaner I’d just resist the binge eating in winter and try and hold 90kg in the hard months and ride the free lift down the following spring. That’s my advice anyway 😂

Great video..quick question: I have lost a lot of weight qucikly due to divorce. Since October...havent been eating enough protein, been drinking a lot of wine--so crepey skin on my butt and tummy, Lots of muscle mass has been lost....will going to gym to build back that muscle take care of this?

Excellent video! It's hard to lose body fat because food is too delicious! 😋 I'm very active but also eat a lot because it's currently winter here in Australia and I crave food and I'm always freezing. 🥶 Also approaching menopause doesn't help when belly fat is more common. I'm still pretty fit but I can't fit into my pants from 2 decades ago. 😂 I fit into it for the longest time but don't anymore. The button won't reach! 😅

Sometimes challenges like that can be helpful. They show you that you CAN go without certain foods and it helps break the habit. But in some cases, those desires come back even stronger.
