This is the most conversion story that i can relate but far. I know many Catholics were evangelized and baptized in the faith then only grow to be protestants(denomination church). It happened in my surroundings( family and friends) in Indonesia. Even going abroad, same pattern. We need to learn more about the faith ( bible and tradition) so we cannot be easily swayed to deny the eucharist in Jesus’s apostolic church, and in necessary time we can confidently share the knowledge of faith ❤🙏🏼

As a Filipino cradle Catholic, I can totally relate to the first part of your story. My mum is a devout Catholic. She knows the doctrines of the Church, she reads the Bible, she goes to Mass, the Rosary, she is a Catholic intellectually and in practice but she did not know how to explain the faith and we have volatile relationship in the family. I never dared to join other denominations although I was not cathecised but i became a lukewarm Catholic and did not understand my faith. The youtube video of Steve Ray brought me back to the faith. Now I am hungry for knowledge and scriptures. Its been two years since that youtube video that I watched. Still i journey but I found peace and purpose in my life to serve God. ❤

I attend Mass at a predominantly Filipino parish. The Filipinos have a great love of 'Mama Mary' and have brought their faith and many of their devotions/traditions wherever they go. There is a need for better catechesis however (the same could be said of many other cultural Catholics). It's great to see someone like Bernz providing this. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. I graduated grade school, 1973 and high school, 1977 at Marist School. A Marian school. Mary held on to me which made me firm and solid strong in my faith journey. Protestants love to make their own version of Christianity. They resort to their own convenience and get their beliefs which are totally against the apostolic version of faith. I just pray that someday they all come back.

San Francisco native here. I traveled to and from The Philippines 🇵🇭 for 26+ years. I am not a revert. I am more of an explorer.: I explored Buddhism ☸, Confucianism, various philosophies and world religions.. i came close to leaving Catholicism but got more insights after exploring Judaism ✡ and Protestantiam. I saw similar dilemmas with Latinos as well as with Filipinos.

I have to mention this and that is that it doesn’t matter how much scriptures a person can quote or explain why because it won’t stop them from sinning,also it doesn’t matter if a person speaks truth or is honest that person is still prone to fall into sins,now what I’ve just mentioned is enormous mega Hugh to come to an understanding of what I’ve said. Thank you Bernz-wonderful testimony. Jesus founded only one Church making Peter the first Pope. Built on a Rock. All the other churches (denominations) though well meaning and good people are splinters of the one Church Jesus founded. His earnest prayer was "that All may be one, one Flock, one Shepherd.

Hi i’m a protestant. But I want to become a catholic. I am Filipino btw. Can anyone help me how to convert? Do I just attend the mass and ask the priest? My background - I came from Seventh day adventist, I came to a realizations that it has many restrictions or forbid for us to eat like pork, shrimps, we cannot dance to or listen to rock songs, certain dresses for men and women they have a lot of restrictions and it feels suffocating (will not go into details but it didnt help me grow in christ). Next I found born again christian I felt the Lord there but still lacking cause it made me comfortable with sin and the idea of onced saved always saved made me backslide and not go back to the church. It is too hard for me to “fellowship with other believers in evangelical churches cause it required for us to socialize, do activities inside the church, etc it is exhausting and draining and I’m not a social people talking about the church of christian churches, it is full of entertainment, play room, gym, cafe shop. Some of them feel bad if you dont attend anymore or it felt like force. My brother introduced me to catholicsm. He taught me about the rosary and the miracles of the saints and how the catholic church is the one church founded by God himself. I’m just amaze by the simple mass people gathered every sunday morning. I pray the rosary in secret even though I am not a catholic. And I noticed the difference in my life. It is like people around me are getting nice to me, my depressive family are now getting happy and have better outlook in life. Our house felt like home for the first time. So I decided to convert. I found God favor in this church.

This is what I say to the protestants that I talk to. Deuteronomy 6 6These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on Doesn't this justify the Rosary we say everyday. Constantine did not “invent” the Mass. Rather the Mass evolved into what we practice now. From the beginning, the “Breaking of Bread”, Reading of the Psalms, Reading of the Old Testament and The NOW letters of the Apostles, were read in these small community “gatherings”. It was done underground in peoples houses. Once Constantine became Christian, he decreed that Christians should and need their own “Temple”.

I believed in the Philippines, majority of us if not all are Catholics, the true church. Unfortunately, many of them were not deep-rooted about their faith. Hence they were easily swayed and leave the faith. They called themselves born-again Christian. Most of us are not bible-readers and are not well-versed on sacred scriptures and traditions. Neither familiar with the CCC. Most of us are quite lukewarm on our faith. I was born and raised catholic. I followed and believed what was taught on me. Though i am not that well-versed about the bible, i held on to my faith. I don't need to change my faith but rather i should study and learn more about it. Some say when they become born-again, they learned about the bible. The reason there is that that's how they work and worship You are forced to learn this. Unlike in Catholic, while it is available e.g. bible - study or anything about our faith, it is your choice. Catholics formation and information has a great impact on ones faith.

Questions that need answering: 1) Why the Rosary? It’s non-biblical and based on other non-biblical like praying to Mary 2) Hail Mary prayer is not theologically sounds. Against biblical scriptures like - Do not consult the dead. Those who do are cursed. 3) Pope is infallable. Unbiblical as the Pope is also a man that can make mistakes and sin. 4) The Sunday Mass’s “Hostia” is actually the body of Christ. 5) Sculptures that people kneel in front to and pray to 6) Baptism of babies. 7) Every Priest (and Nuns) must be unmarried and single for the rest of their lives. Although it has a biblical basis but it was not mandatory. So, why is the Catholic priesthood different from the Greek Orthodox Priesthood where priests are married men. 8) Martin Luther’s thesis posted on that Cathedral doors. 9) Purgatory 10) Historical events that the Catholic Church (make the world “Christianity by the sword” policy) did to the various people around the world. E.g. Indians in South America, natives of the Philippines, Portuguese in Japan, Catholics in Mexico 11) Crusaders - Killing Jews in Jerusalem by exterminating everyone in Israel. How could that be led by the Lord? 12) Many more…
