Thank you so much for this great video! I am the happy owner of a 195 and agree with every point. Especially the closed cooling system is a huge advantage for me. Anyhow, I always found that there are too few videos about SCARAB and the one I would really love to see is a SCARAB maneuverability around docks and tight spaces. As you know... nothing can beat a SCARAB (or VORTEX) in reverse. I did some videos on mine, but I lack the equipment and editing skills you have!! Would be awesome to "brag" about what this boat really can do! Thank you. I liked AND Subscribed hoping for a lot more :)

We bought our first boat, a scarab 195HO 2020 and it is spectacular. The ability to maneuver is insane how good it is. I agree, not nearly enough info out there on them plus I want to add water methonal to gain additional HP and other tweaks, but there just is not a large enough knowledge base to do so...yet. Overall, the fit, finish and power of these makes it perfect.

Thanks for video! I'm considering a 195 or 215, and doing my research before spending my hard earned cash. Do you recommend the 150hp BRP Rotax or would one of the larger versions be better? Does the 195 have a "clean out port" like on the Yamahas? Is the risk of jet drives getting clogged considerable? Friends tell me never buy new, what do you recommend if looking for something slightly used? TIA

@MIDWEST MTB CO - it depends on where you are going to use your boat. If there are of a lot weeds in the water then the port might be nice. You should try to avoid weedy patches anyway. It’s not really going to hurt anything you are just going to notice decreased power till you clear it out. I personally haven’t had anything sucked up yet. Big things like ropes or thick vines will stop your engine. That’s where I think I like Scarab’s sleeve over the prop shaft plus the closed cooling system. We don’t have to worry about clogging the cooling ports. Both boats are fine just different things you need to be aware of. You can definitely save buying used. I always buy new you never know what people do to their stuff before you end up with their problems.

Are Scarab jet boats any good? I heard Scarab Boats was originally a brand of jet boats made to compete with Yamaha jet boats for entry-level dollars in that market. Though not considered of the highest quality, they seem to have a significant following in the jet boat market.

I would love to see slalom skiing with hard cuts across the wake. Currently have a malibu competition ski boat but it’s too small for my family. Seriously considering a jet boat and want to know how easily you can cut across the week. Also want to see if kids can learn behind it. I have a lot of kids.

Thanks for watching and the comments! The versatility and space for our family definitely sold us on the Scarab 215. What model of Malibu do you have? We are by no means competition skiers but do slalom once in awhile behind the boat. A couple things to remember, the 215 has two jet nozzles shooting water out the back, so the further back you are the less turbulent the water is for hard cuts across the wake. We have taught a number of people how to get up on skis and wakeboard behind our jet boat. The experience is a little different than behind a direct drive or v drive but still tons of fun!!!

What top speed do you see with the 200hp motors? My sales guy said with 300’s will run 65mph+ but on a forum I read mid 50’s with the 300’s.

What is the total storage length including the trailer? My garage is 22' and 6" in depth... was woundering if It could fit? Thanks

Hey, thanks for watching our video! The storage length when the boat is on the trailer ends up being around 21' 4". Please keep in mind that depends on how the boat is sitting on the trailer - sometimes when we retrieve it from the lake, we are in a hurry and the boat ends up sitting a little further back on the bunks that other times. Also, we have a single axle trailer, I don't know if the dual axle trailer would change the length overall?
