But the dude wasnt even putting up tackles or sacks, putting up a half sack in all of his playoff games combined, so you cant really use that argument. You never saw players like Reggie White or Bruce Smith play, so you say hes the best because you didnt see anyone else.

Agreed but it's also crazy to consider what someone like Lawrence Taylor would do in today's nfl, not a tackle who could handle his size and speed on the outside and he would get a lot more attempts for sacks in today's game than the time he played. But at the same time Donald demands a double team minimum every play and to eliminate him requires a triple team every play and then everyone else is going 1 on 1. That's why von Miller on the other side was so deadly, kind of like ware joining Miller for their super bowl, can't double team both and 1 of them will win in 1 on 1s all day. He is definitely fun to watch

speed and power combined with flawless technique is why he is the most dominate player at any position. i have seen reggie white and lawrence taylor in their primes and donald is as good as any defender i ever saw. those guys often got one on one blocking due to playing outside but donald gets doubled and even tripled often.

Really it's hard to compare eras. In the modern NFL, a good run stopping defensive tackle isn't nearly as impactful as a good pass rushing defensive tackle. It's like comparing a cornerback from 1960 to one from 2019. Back then the corner could do almost anything he wanted to. Pass interference was almost never called. Now just pulling a bit is gonna get called.

His lower center of gravity has A LOT to do with how he gets by the O-Line too . Everyone overlooks that advantage

WesleyParksGaming its an advantage that usually sacrifices power which means shorter tackles can be easily dominated when bigger stronger linemen can actually get their hands inside. Except even with him being undersized he still tosses linemen like they are dolls. His combination of being compact and having leverage and still being able to power straight through larger guys who should be stronger is unprecedented
