Don’t think so, time and time again basically since Neymar left, we don’t have a traditional left winger who plays wide and can do 1v1s. Every time it’s always a winger who drifts central, I feel like we need someone like Nico to play there.

In a span of 7 months, Lookman scored a hat trick in a European final ending a team’s long unbeaten streak, in the UCL, he got MOTM against the reigning European champions on the same pitch that contained 3 of the “best players in the world” also scored a phenomenal goal and he’s also been excellent at the start of this season as well as he’s Atalanta’s 2nd scorer in Serie A proving that he’s not some sort of “one game wonder”. Many people have been talking about the potential of Barcelona signing Nico Williams or Rafael Leao since they’re in need of another proper winger as it’s important for them to have someone who has close to the exact same profile as Lamine Yamal and ease the reliance on him (in a long and demanding season as good as he is, he can’t play every minute of every game and they can’t expect him to create most of their chances on top of that we’ve seen how vulnerable they’re looked without him from an attacking perspective), as good as he is even though Raphinha has been cooking, given his price tag age contract market value and what he could potentially bring to the team and ability to perform on the biggest stage in European competitions, they should consider signing him. Plus on current form, he’s better than Leao and Nico and sometimes it’s better to go for cheaper options than potentially wasting money on a player they don’t need even though both of them have higher ceilings due to their respective ages. Nico missed his train to go to Barcelona, he needs Barca more than they need him not the other way around plus, as good as Leao is, he’s not on Lookman’s level currently plus despite his talent attacking wise, he would be good for Flick’s system, but he’s inconsistent and in a team where everyone is expected to press, he doesn’t track back or move without the ball as he’s only interested in making runs and being involved in the game when he has the ball.

As I've heard, someone said Lookman is a product of a coach impact. Same with De Cetelaere. Gasperini made them shine so we've learned about them. Not sure if he stays this way in Barca. The same with Marmoush. Before this season I haven't heard about him either. Kvara would be my second choice. Then Marmoush and Lookman... I'd go for Leao only if he was free agent. He's the strongest but his lazy attitude (which would be difficult to change) would not be positive for Barca. Why Nico is my first choice? + Younger than other candidates + Can play both as left and right winger + Good chemistry with not only our Golden Boy, but with most of our squad. Fun fact barca could get Lookman and Nico for less then Leao. That means you would have: LW options- Raphinha, Nico, Lookman CF options- Lewa, Lookman, ? CAM option- Olmo, Raphinha, Fermin RW option- Lamine, Raphinha, Nico Barca would be able to freely rotate with attackers that are all world class.

Whenever player leaves Atalanta, he flops. Hojlund, Koopmeiners, Zapata, Muriel, Papu Gomez... All of them cooked for Atalanta and became terrible after they left. Only one of them who did something good was Romero but he also for me is overrated. That's because Gasperini has a system that works with players he picks to play for 1st team.
