I really hope this partnership works out. Fernando has had such bad luck with different teams after his first stint at McLaren in 2007 and missed at least 1 or 2 championship titles since 2006. Newey's ability to produce championship winning cars is mightily impressive, going back to 1990s Williams. He's able to adapt to different regulations so well compared to anyone else. With Fernando's experienced feedback and Newey's genius, I really want this to give Fernando his extremely well deserved third WDC. Future is wide open for Aston Martin Tommo. The potential for Fernando to get a 3rd World Champion campaign is definitely something I look forward to (but admittedly I want Lewis to get his 8th more!). In addition, you brought up an interesting prospect with Aramco Sustainable Fuel efforts and Aston Martin's engine experience, I think it is a viable option to bring back V8's with Sustainable/Synthetic fuels in F1. With the aviation industry trying to make SAF work and the main issue being fuel production at scale, F1 will not have that level of a challenge (even across a season). However, it is all about the larger technological development for road car implementation for engine manufacturers (as you already know), so even if they could go back to purebred V8's it may still not be in their interest. Newey at Aston is going to shake up 2026 and beyond while also becoming a shareholder...WELL PLAYED on his part. Love your work and analysis!
