After Ezra pulled Ahsoka from her timeline (3 BBY) into his (1 BBY), she knew she had to return. Once there, she knew she couldn't play any part in the rebellion or coming war (0 ABY to 4 ABY) since she was supposed to be dead. After feeling Anakin fulfill the Chosen One Prophecy and the end of the war, she'd meditate on The Force to ensure that searching for and finding Ezra (as she promised) would cause no harm. Then in 5 ABY, we see her return to Lothal to gather Sabine and begin the search for Ezra.

One idea I've thought of when looking through the history and culture of the Chiss is the nature of their force users. How its mostly only girls who have the gift of 'Third Sight' as they call it, and are used as pilots to navigate the Unknown Region, but for some reason, all lose the ability by the time they become adults, sometimes teens. If I were to guess, I'd say Thrawn would like answers to that too, now that he's seen/heard of other force users who have various abilities and who keep them throughout their entire lives. I don't think its too farfetched to assume that Thrawn would do everything in his power to get Ezra back to the Chiss Ascendancy to figure out just why this happened, regardless of Ezra's willingness to go. I feel like it would be an interesting scenario for Ezra who would most likely want to help these girls maintain their abilities, but at the same time be wary of helping thrawn, setting up some good potential development for Ezra. This could explain why Ezra never came back. As for Ahsoka, my guess would be much the same as others. She saw that she herself was not effective when trying to turn Vader back from the Dark Side, it just wasn't her role to play. She had already done her part in kickstarting the Rebellion, and in dying, or staying assumed dead to all but a few, provided a martyr for them to rally behind. And also, if we look at how connected she is with the Daughter of Mortis, and how Mortis was connected with the World Between Worlds, it is also possible that she was sabotaging any of the Emperor's other attempts to gain access to it. Her connection with the Daughter may give her an advantage on that front, and I'd be willing to bet Morai the Convor would be willing to help as well.

Like many others, I believe that upon arriving in the Unknown Regions, Ezra would feel Thrawn's fear, surmise the HUGE threat the Grysk pose, and reluctantly partner with Thrawn to defeat the Grysk before they reach his Galaxy.

This is what Shaak Ti teaches her in my novel Ahsoka and the Rebellion. From chapter 19: Shaak is talking with Ahsoka, sometime before the Battle of Yavin: "You see, as most Jedi will readily recite, the Force binds us and is said to hold the Galaxy together. But those are just empty platitudes unless you take the time to go deeper ... " “Master Shaak, I’ve been thinking about these abilities that we are now using. Electrical current, and this talk of shattering our opponents. I realize that they would be happy to do the same to us, and building something like a Death Star is clearly proof of that. But the traditional Jedi teachings seemed to be opposed to such abilities, saying they were the path to the Dark Side.” "I am actually glad you decided to ask me about this. It marks your continued growth in understanding and the desire to know more. First, let me ask you a simple question. Do you believe the Jedi were the inventors of the Force or simply an organization that desired greater understanding?” “Clearly the latter, Master.” “Well, then. I firmly believe that there is no inherent limitation on our level of knowledge, nor are there things that we are ‘just not supposed to know,’ Shaak stated with a wink. “Now, can you tell me what your thinking is with regard to the Dark Side?” Ahsoka pondered this for a few seconds. "Well, it's when you give in to anger and hatred and let greed and lust for power dominate you." "Sure, that's a good working definition. So do you feel this happening to you?" Ahsoka shook her head firmly. "No. But I must admit I feel anger at the Empire and at Palpatine for what they have done. I'm angry with Anakin over much of what he has done. But he is more of a lost soul, who was taken advantage of. I still blame myself for some of it. He depended on me more than I knew. And I left him hanging." Shaak smiled sweetly and looked at her with pride. "You would not be my apprentice otherwise. And you no doubt understand what it will take to defeat an enemy that builds something like a Death Star and over 20,000 Star Destroyers?" Ahsoka nodded. "Of course, Master." "And you also must realize that the only way we can hope to win is by winning the hearts and minds of the people of the Galaxy?" She nodded again. "And because this is war, that many people will have to die - on both sides?" Ahsoka rose from her seat and came over to Shaak, who remained seated. "Master, of course I get all that. But does it also mean we use Force vortex, Force lightning, the Circle of Light, and who knows what else you haven't shown me to make it happen? So how are we different than the Sith?" Shaak sighed softly and reached out to Ahsoka, who let herself be pulled into her embrace. "My sweet beautiful girl. We are different because we care. Because we have love - for each other and for the Galaxy and all of the wonderful people and things in it. This is our home and it falls to us to protect it. To protect it from all of the evil that runs rampant and threatens those whom we love. The evil that takes good people such as Anakin and turns them into faceless monsters. And that evil is large and it is strong. And it will take everything we have in order to defeat it. But defeat it we shall. Do you believe that?" Ahsoka smiled and relaxed in Shaak's arms, then exhaled slowly. "I have to believe it. Or why fight? Almost all my life I was prepared to fight and be a warrior and I am proud to be one. But I want to fight for more than just those abstract things. I want to have someone to love and care for, someone to protect. It makes me feel wonderful to learn under you and become all that I can be. Maybe those dreams aren't crazy after all. Maybe I can lead people and inspire them." Ahsoka rose from Shaak's embrace and sat in her chair again, taking a last drink of the tea and then a deep breath, and asked, "So are you saying that the reality is that there is Light and Dark in all of us, just different amounts?" Shaak nodded. "Yes ... But it's more than that. We must realize that Light and Dark are symbiotic. There cannot be one without the other. Think about it. Without the darkness of space, the stars have no purpose. And without a light to inspire each and every one of us, what is our purpose?"
@BoandDebbieMulder4 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised that in this passage, Ahsoka didn't get down to the nitty gritty: Can Jedi and/or Light-Siders use powers that have been deemed "Dark Side Powers" and not turn to the Dark Side? I say YES. It's all about intent. So if a Jedi were to use Force Lightening or Force Choke as a last ditch effort to stop a mass murder from happening, as long as they used that power with no hate in their heart, but instead used it filled with love and concern for targeted innocents, I do believe those powers can be used (sparingly) for GOOD, without turning the Force User to the Dark Side.

Can we talk about how Ahsoka is seen walking back into the sith temple in the episode that depicts her duel with Vader AND the episode in which Ezra pulls her into the world between worlds? The scenes are exactly the same, so rather than Ahsoka being dead during the two year span of these two episodes, she could really have been alive. And rather than her being magically teleported into the future, she was just briefly removed from her place in time (in the instant Ezra saved her from Vader) and then placed back directly into that situation. Because the world between worlds is independent of linear time how we think of it, she could’ve been placed back directly into the time in which she was saved from.
@BoandDebbieMulder4 жыл бұрын
That's almost exactly what happened. Ahsoka entered back into the Sith Temple several minutes later in her own timeline. We know this because when she got there, Vader had already taken off.

I feel like Ezra didn't return because he knew Lothal would never be safe if he was there since the Emperor needs him to open the gate way to the World Between Worlds. As for Ahsoka, she probably was hiding from the Emperor as well and on top of that she would have to wait two or three years since Ezra didn't save her from Darth Vader all those years later. If she returned to the Ghost crew right after Malachor, then Ahsoka would have messed up the reality of time and space. Furthermore, she wouldn't have survived since Ezra didn't go to the World Between Worlds until season 4.

this is why they shouldn't have brought time travel into star wars, there wasn't really any need for it other than rebels just having the strongest plot armors for every good guy, so they needed to save ahsoka somehow, and it always creates some plotholes... it makes sense for ahsoka to wait until she is certain that the moment when Ezra entered the world between worlds had passed though
@ahsoka52164 жыл бұрын
@@maaaaaap Honestly, I was surprised Dave Filoni used something like The World Between Worlds to bring Ahsoka back. I thought Ezra was just going to be shown that Ahsoka didn't die and that she is hiding on Malachor. Then, that revelation would be how they introduce the Ahsoka show. Also, Dave Filoni said that The World Between Worlds isn't necessarily time travel, but a place where time and space is still like a bird's eye view of everything happening throughout the universe which I guess makes sense, but it still leaves a lot more questions than answers. From a story perspective though, Ahsoka not dying from her duel with Darth Vader makes sense only because the events that occurred on Malachor were already foreshadowed in TCW episodes on Mortis. When Ahsoka was consumed by the dark side and then killed by the Son. Eventually, being resurrected by the Daughter was preluding to her duel with Darth Vader and her being saved by the Daughter through Ezra pulling her out of the portal.

First of all, my favorites quotes from Rebels for #RebelsRemembered day. "When the time comes, we need to be ready to sacrifice for something greater than ourselves" - Kanan Jarrus "We have hope. Hope that things will get better, and they will" - Hera Syndulla "You've taught me so much. Not just about being a Jedi, but about life; how to be a good person" - Ezra Bridger Okay. So I love the mention in the Project Luminous trailer about how the Jedi used to patrol the outskirts of The Republic to defend against threats from outside. This feels like a very good description for: 1) Kanan, who joined Hera and helped in what way he could despite no longer believing in the Jedi Order as a whole, but rather did his best to simply be a good person. 2) Ezra, who despite overwhelming odds, refused to give up on his friends, family or even complete strangers who couldn't fight for themselves. I truely believe that this will be further reinforced when we finally do get the full story of Thrawn and Ezra because I believe that even with their history, Ezra would be willing to assist the Chiss Ascendency if he were to find out about the threat of the Grysk. 3) Ahsoka, especially given the events of the Ahsoka novel. I won't go in to detail about that here. If you want to know more, give it a read! Highly recommended! 4) The whole of The Ghost Crew despite not being Jedi. Helping others at their own expense was at the core of who they were and if that isn't what a Jedi should be, then I don't know what is.

I find it crazy that Ahsoka made it all the way through, she survived. It reminds of when Anakin said to Ahsoka that she wouldn't have made it as Obi Wan's padawan, but you might make it as mine. There's this sense of Irony? I think, when it comes to Anakin saying that to her. Even Vader, i bet somewhere deep down he had some sort of sense of pride seeing the padawan he trained having survived for so long. Of course, from Vaders perspective, she was aiding Jedi. So she was in his way, and she had to die. When it comes to Anakin, he still existed somewhere deep down within, i mean of all the Jedi, Anakin Skywakers former padawan survived. Even Vader probably has some room to gloat even though it was while he was Anakin.

I believe that for years Ezra tried to contact his friends with no response back and pretty much gave up returning back home until he was suddenly found and now it has become a hard decision for him to choose his old space family versus his new space family.

Off to the Chiss galaxy far far away ... the force whales sense where Thrawn wants them to go. The Emperors force-radar cant reach because of some galactic anomaly??? the sea of unforce? - anyway the space whales drop off the star destroyer safely on some Chiss planet (maybe back in time so it's like Thrawn never left) to find the Chiss are still counting the days till some prophesied nightmare makes its way to their galaxy. The locals ask Thrawn if he found any good allies to help and he says: "No way - that place is a mess - and I fear will become complete garbage in the future!" winks at camera. "But this guy here can move stuff using his mind!" After some pearl-clutching, Ezra decides to make the best of it and decides to 'gallantly' help the Chiss out however he can. They have adventures trying to figure out civil unrest - stopping wars and trying to make sense of the prophesy of doom. Ezra levels up a lot. A decade passes and Ezra has a 'school for gifted Chiss forcers' - preaching a very grey-jedi version of things. Turns out much every Chiss is force-sensitive to varying degrees - so it's not like some class struggle of muggles vs wizards. Thrawn is like King of the Chiss - it's all working out well until Ahsoka and Sabine turn up via space-whale-time-travel-taxi. After an emotional meet-and-greet Ahsoka drops the bomb: "Ezra in my search through the force to find a way to ... find you - I discovered a harrowing prophesy of a race who feeds from the souls of force-users! They lay dormant for thousands of space-cycles - to awake and harvest civilizations who have long-forgotten them - they are called The Rakata! Looks like this school for special Chiss isn't likely to attract much attention" Ezra scratches the back of his neck - "Yeah about that..." Thrawn facepalms and a wacky rehash of some very decent old comics begins...

I'd like it if they start to work together against a common enemy, but Thrawn pushes Ezra over a line, so he flees and is on the run, trying to lay low on a planet that is a little more primitive and has no space travel. So, he's trying to lay low, but also a sort of roving monk/good guy. After a while, he befriends and mentors a force-sensitive kid. They could make it off the planet at some point... just wherever the story goes.

Wow! This was a late one! There are a number of reasons why she waited so long. First, of course, she had to wait where she was until the events that led to Ezra saving her could come to pass. So, that's two years right there waiting on Malachor. We can reasonably assume that she took that time to reflect on the events, herself, and possible future actions. This would be where our theories that she was doing research on the Force and past Force Using organisations would come into play. And this, I think, is why she waited so long. More on that in a moment. Second, once time caught up to Ezra entering the World Between Worlds, she would then need to wait until someone came along to rescue her. This, as you could imagine, could take some time, because not long after Ezra rescued her, the Civil War erupted into a full scale insurgency with the Rebellion and the Empire in total conflict with each other, and not just in small scale operations. Let's say this took at least a year before the Rebels could afford to send someone, due to having to evacuate Yavin Base, rebuild the Rebel fleet (you'd have to read the comics to get the full story on this), and recruit enough people to allow valuable personnel to step away from fighting the Empire's forces to go search for a spy that the vast majority of the Rebel forces would never have heard about (in my head, I imagine Mon Mothma sending Luke; Malachor is a former Sith stronghold, so who better than to send the closest thing to a Jedi they have to have the highest possibility of surviving such a world? Besides him wanting to meet someone who was a former Jedi, you know that Hera would also want in on that action, and fess up. You know you want to see a Luke/Hera team-up!). That leaves at least a three year gap, possibly three and a half years, between her rescue from Malachor and when she finally arrived on Lothal. So, what was she doing in all that time? The answer, I think, is obviously in her outfit in the Rebels finale epilogue. But this is where I think we're missing the forest for the trees. We've been so focused on her white robes as a metaphor for her growth in her powers. This is reasonable, and I sincerely believe is correct. This is a result of her exile on Malachor, and her subsequent absence from the rest of the Civil War. But now I'm wondering if her absence wasn't so much her wandering the galaxy in search of knowledge to increase her understanding and mastery of the Force; that was a (much welcome) secondary bonus. Rather, I wonder if her studies and reflections on Malachor led her to wandering the galaxy in search of a physical object, instead - the staff. I'm now wondering if we were deliberately mislead into focusing on her new outfit so that we didn't consider the importance of the staff in searching for Ezra, something that is vital to finding because without it finding Ezra would be impossible. What if that staff is some kind of wayfinder that was vital to finding their way through the space between the New Republic and where Ezra is, because without it they would be forced to go around it, something that could take years, or even decades?

Ezra and Ahsoka could possibly be forming some new/splinter Jedi order. They both are not typical Jedi and Ahsoka herself is not a Jedi. If Ezra was discovered using a sith holocron in the republic era jedi order he would be exiled from the order. Although Ezra doesn’t use the dark side of the force he acts based on emotion, contrary to the Jedi code. Ezra is similar to Anakin in his desire to do what he believes is morally correct however Ezra is unwillingly to use the dark side of the force to accomplish this (after his run in with maul and finally the Bendu).

The force is not jedi, it is everywhere and available to those who feel it. She doesn't have to label herself a jedi to wield her power. Lol, how is it they assume she is more powerful because she wears a robe? It probably took Ashoka a long time to get off the planet Ezra left her on, so that might be why she took so long. Perhaps she did some studying and learned to utilize the world between worlds?

Hey there! Thanks for your thoughts. Dave Filoni did a series of Topps trading cards that show her entering what I assume is the World Between Worlds. There is also the fact that there were 3 inquisitors on the planet. All which had there own ship. Maul might of had a ship as well. So after visiting the WBW, she should have been able to leave the planet. Just my speculation 👍

@@starwarsspeculation9846 I still hope they will have enough sense to send Ashoka back to warn Anakin and reset Star Wars and go new that way, so much smarter.

Ezra and Ahsoka weren't the only force users left other than Luke and Leia. What about Master Vos? His fate along with his family's is unknown. He too could be around somewhere.

I’m sure that some Jedi and padawans escaped and sat out the galaxies issues while they regroup .The Force will tell them when to reveal themselves .I hope we’ll see one or more of them come to collect baby Yoda in the Mandalorian

wouldn't hunting down and killing the remaining jedi that the empire could find via inquisitors, bounty hunters, sith assassins, and even vader defeat the purpose of said survivors from actually laying low, if they're already being tracked down and slaughtered....only a few actually survived through those witch hunts in lore.
@koroagami94564 жыл бұрын
I think Ahsoka waited for so long was because of the galactic civil war so the force could have told Ahsoka the right time to save Ezra instead of doing in her own accord which could have mature repercussion which happened to the the Jedi order when they got themselves involved in the war.

Most likely this would have been explored in a book or comic but Disney found no one gave a shit about Rebels and dropped it. So once again fans are left trying to desperately make terrible media more watchable.

If she was listening to the will of the force, why didn't she pick up on Palpatine returning? I get why Luke didn't because he saw his father kill him.
@BoandDebbieMulder4 жыл бұрын
If Ezra hadn't pulled her into the WBW, Ahsoka would most likely be dead. If she listened to the will of the Force, she would know that she could not interfere in any way with the war. The Force had already planned for Anakin to kill palpatine and she could not interfere.

What if Ezra is the true chosen one not Luke? He is the same age Luke, Ezra seems more connected and force sensitive as he grows up in rebels series.

Ahsoka's appearance in the epilogue is like 3 seconds long and literally all we see is that she's wearing a robe with a giant hood and carrying a stylized stick. To assert that she appears "much more powerful" only makes sense if you measure "power" in robes and sticks, which is some weird coding. She could be covering up burn scars to 90% of her body and needing the stick because she has debilitating arthritis in her hip. :-P

Ahsoka is no longer a Jedi is true. The same goes for Ezra, that he chose not to become a Jedi after the mission at the Jedi temple on Lothal.

Heres the thing, i still dont understand how the supposed all powerful jedi couldnt that there was the most powerful sith or magic user right under their noses? I know that the jedi temple was built on an old sith temple that they had knocked over in war , and they built the jedi temple over the old sith temple and supposedly cleansed it somehow, so why couldnt they recognize the emperor, they could feel those witches on dathamier, and the emperor was much closer than that? Just curious , can u help me out?

Why exactly is Ezra so important to Ahsoka? They were not exactly close. Which is why the whole "world between worlds" gimmick is so unnecessary.
