Lol quality of service is shit. Air India is the worst service compared to major international airlines and TCS. Engineers are shitty engineers who we contract and are a pain in the ass to deal with, hence we get them for peanuts

Try good airlines to realize how mediocre the aircrafts and it's service is. People got literally stranded for 30 hours and guess what the compensation was? 350 dollars. LOL

Any airline can become largest airline , the real need is an Airline who can be trusted by Passenger through roper customer service, attentive to customer escalations or issues, avoiding cancellation which leaves struggle to get fulll refund. Treating Not downgrading or chucking out of passengers stating overbooking.

Air India has the potential to eat into other airlines businesses. Previously when the quality of service was very poor on Air India, Indian passengers had to use foreign airlines to travel around the world. This means that they would have to use 2 flights in most of the cases, one to travel from India to that airlines hub and then from the airline hub to the destination where they want to go. With Air India they can travel to the destination directly without having to transfer at an international hub. Hopefully this will improve the service quality from the other airlines which so could take advantage of Indian travellers by giving them substandard treatment and getting away with it since there was no other alternative. Air India has a huge potential to grow in the future.

@@rajars4239 The airline experience won’t change until they get their new cabin refurbishments completed and new planes with their chosen cabin get delivered. The only thing they can improve for now is their crew experience and pre boarding and post landing experiences.

Few things quoted wrong here. It is not that Indians cannot afford air travel but it is FACT that India has an amazing commuting options buses, railways and private cabs plus the geography of India is not too vast unlike other countries, the distance is relatively less.

Recently so many services got cancelled due to strike by cabin crew and the management failed to address the concerns of the traveller. They didnt even gave an alternate ticket in another airline or refunded the money. And now the air india services from calicut airport is cut shorted i dont know why they are doing it. Calicut airport is a place where majority of people depends to travel to gulf countries. By ending air india services from calicut will help other airlines. Is this airline really planning to expand or end by themself?

Location of India between the Eurozone and the Far East is far strategically convenient then Dubai Doha or Singapore . Air India could develop the hub and spoke strategy from New Delhi Airport far better then Dubai or Doha So it becoming the replacement to Emirates and Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines is quite possible

Air India was the nation's flyer. However Air India always seems to skip or lose it momentum at most critical time. Air India should revamp it's entire operations just to keep in pace with private sector. There are so many airports and so much skilled labour. However you should be able to scrutinize what is necessary and frivolous. Fuel prices apart you have had the support of the government. You should be able to work with this and not accept failure. Cut down on the slack.

Air India has a LOT of international routes which it has so far been underutilizing. The other companies have to fight to get so many routes, which AI already has. Same with domestic. They inherited the government's priority carrier conveniences of getting a LOT of routes. The Taj group (also owned by Tata) already was famous for supplying most of the food that takes off from Mumbai and other Indian international airports. They were already supplying to Air India. FOOD is a great reason to fly Air India, especially on international routes.

Air India should collaborate with all countries local point system. So that travellers will try to increase points to get a free ticket. For example they collaborate with any Australian fuel station. Customer will need to swap card whenever they fill fuel in that particular franchise to increase points. And they should get free AI ticket once there points are enough. This changes are must now and can’t survive with old policies in this competitive market.

For what? Air India doesn't need to be the largest by any means. India isn't a big hub for travelers. Indian people aren't as travel geeks on air as Americans and Chinese. So there is no need for Air India being the largest.

Let Air India concentrate only in India and the existing international routes 4). They are waiting for the new flights to perform well. Today America aviation manufacturing industry is running for another 5 to 7 years based on Air India new flight order. 5). Not with the attitude the people running it have. Flew last week. A lady booked a bassinet seat. When she came in , she was not in the bassinet seat. When she talked to the airport crew, they said you should have seen that when we issued the boarding pass. How the hell would a passenger know where the bassinet seats are? She had to ask others to swap seats.

India is already the world no 1 by population and soon become the 3rd largest economy of the world. Indian Here. I genuinely do not believe that Air India will be all that great. The average Indian makes 150 USD a month. The cheapest ticket is close to 84 USD. Ticket, extra fees and cab combined.

Flights from London to India are just embarrassing. I was travelling with my UK friends to Kochi and half of the entertainment screens weren't working ( happens regularly). Imagine someone travelling first to India on the AI flights with sub standard service n entertainment, it doesnt paint a very good picture of the nation they are travelling to. Also, goes without mentioning the horrible service provided by the flight attendants.

And a lot of international flights only go to sydney or melbourne. Brisbane exists too. We have a massive international terminal and high demand too

You have forgotten Perth the Indian population is a little bit bigger than Brisbane which means routes will work and plus Perth is also the closest Australian city to India so Perth would be much better than Brisbane, Brisbane people could transit in Perth then continue towards India currently if you want to go to India from Perth you would have to transit through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok etc

In theory yes AI might achieve that but going with the crazy hurdles they are facing, it's going to be a long haul. The recent absenteeism by pilots and cabin crew is not a good sign. And I'm talking about my personal experiences.

I like this airlines but there should be an improvement. Most of the time I have faced a problems like broken USB ports. Looks like those cleaners are doing this.Should clean aircraft under strict supervision or cameras and culprits should get tuff punishment . Broken USB ports are Dangerous and can catch fire. I don’t know how aircraft get a permission to take off without doing daily checks. There should be a checking inside and outside fuselage before take off , after landing and after cleaning. The person who does all checks should be responsible. Airlines is good but lack of system is a reason for loss.

Air India has pathetic service, I traveled from Mumbai to Delhi, they switched off air conditioner 15 mins prior to taking off. It was horrible experience and it was my worst till date. My first and last Air India travel

Ai India should introduce safety precautions by using Metal Detectors service at the entry gate of each flight to avoid Kanishka type bombing tragedy coupled with feeding service in flight by 5 star managemnent services by best Air Hostesses with great pay and perks.

The experience flying Air India has deteriorated so much since the TATA takeover that I am also not flying Air India again at least not until for the next 5 years at least.....Tata being a private owner has dug AI to the ground. They are not spending a single dollar to fix the terribly broken flights between the US and India even after 2 years of takeover. They are shamelessly waiting for the new plans to arrive until late 2024. In the meantime they are exposing travelers to broken seats, no in flight entertainment, and horrible food service year after year. This is the worst strategy ever. All these people that are giving benefit to Tata saying it will take time are all domestic flyers. Flying 16 hours in a broken and dilapidated plane since the last 2+ years and continuing to do so until late 2024 is simply pathetic and unacceptable. At least under the Indian Government they were spending some money on fixing broken plans and doing some repairs.. Under Tata they are so cheap that seats that are completely broken are falling apart are also not being fixed. Shame on Air India and Tata sons.

Air India should cancel its current order for 69 A320-200neo & place a new order for 56 - 68 units of the A321-200neo & A321-200neo LR narrow body jets . . . Air India could operate the A380-800 wide body quad jet on it's international long haul routes . . . Air India could do a viability run, with some second hand refurbished A380-800 wide body quad jets for 36 months . . . the refurbished A380-800 will operate on select international routes . . . for e.g. Hyderabad (HYD) - San Francisco (SFO) & Mumbai (BOM) - Washington D.C. (IAD) non-stop . . . the A380s cabin will be configured to seat 433 paxs - 468 paxs comfortably in a unique 3-class layout . . . post 36 months Air India can choose to continue operating the A380-800 or suspend A380-800 revenue services altogether . . . the decision is subject to Air India's final assessment of the viability run . . .

As far as Indians go, Air India no longer qualifies as India's flag carrier. It's new livery says absolutely nothing about "India" and is a bland, nondescript, unattractive, woke design that seems instead to deliberately aim at erasing anything Indian. Like other international flag carriers American, British, Air France, Singapore, KLM, Qantas, Qatar etc, the old livery with the red "chakra" motif on the tail instantly said INDIA. From being my go-to airline, even with substandard service, it will now have to compete entirely on price to get my business and it has failed in the last couple of years. Far from growing marketshare, I predict that airlines like IndiGo will beat it even in international markets.
