Nice video! I think you lay out very well how different comedy works and can be combined. Funny video as well, not including all the scenes from the movie. I think this might be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen but, sadly, I have seen it only one time so far. There are comedies which I like more overall as movies, such as Sherlock, Jr. and Life of Brian, but this one is funnier. Good work on the video, and I sincerely want to think that the analysis and research did not lower the movie's comedic effect for you.

Thank you! It holds up really well for rewatches as you notice new things so I’d definitively recommend revisiting it! Life of Brian and Sherlock Jr. are both 10/10, great choices! And regarding your last point - I’m strangely fascinated by dissecting comedy so if anything, it gave me a more appreciation for it. I still laugh a lot at the same moments each time.

Funny you talked about the layers and having two things. Well, your video actually has three things going on. The third thing is the music playing while you are talking. It is actually distracting to what you are telling us. Yes, I love the movie and have seen it multiple times (though not to do the analysis you have done here). The point I am making is that the music is completely unnecessary to your points. As I have asked other hosts that play music while they are talking to us, I ask that you not do it all as well. Thanks.
