Alan used to go to the same doc's as me in Earl's Court circa 2012. I remember the 1st time I saw him in the waiting room thinking he looked like some kind of hardcore Libertines fan - then the doctor called his name and I realised exactly who he was! (Only recently discovered the quality of some of his songs like Hired Gun.)

I went to university with him before and after the accident. He was a little more low key than usual after the accident, but could definitely notice a difference in him. Had a few coffee's with him and he was a really nice genuine guy and a total cool cat. A great miss!

Genius is a bit of a stretch. I know he passed away and that’s sad but why rewrite history? He was pretty mediocre 🤷🏻♂️

You clearly haven't given him the chance - I guess haters gonna hate

@@seanyfaulkner7106 it’s not about hating. I’ve listened to his music, it’s just generic bluesy/country influenced rock with a guy from England singing like he’s from Texas. Nothing original or authentic about it, which is why it never really went anywhere, as well as being really average too. It’s nothing personal towards him as a guy and it’s very sad he passed away so young, just labelling him a genius is laughable. People can say it’s disrespectful to say it because he passed away but that’s really not the point, we’re talking about music specifically and his music wasn’t anything better than average. Let’s not try and make it into something it wasn’t.

@@Noisehead101 It’s nothing to do with him being a genius or not just that his Music was not mediocre and was completely authentic in my opinion - We all take care take our influences from somewhere it’s not like it’s reinventing the wheel for God sake I mean music goes back everyone is influenced by someone, English putting on American American putting on English accent I think really that doesn’t matter if this song is good then it’s good. But Hear this he’s an average one-of-a-kind, That was taken too young. RIP

There’s so much more to Alan than what was pumped out by the tabloid red tops. He was a virtuoso guitarist and very talented producer and songwriter. Visit the site and read the real story on Alan. It’s exactly why I chose to do this. At the end of the day you are of course welcome to your opinion but very few people were as unique as Alan Wass.

@@thesmartway693 virtuoso? Not at all. He was a solid competent guitarist.
