I’ve found it really interesting meeting players off court. Lots of them are very different to their ‘on court’ personas! Rublev is a great example!

@@TheTennisMentor You should interview Rublev, he sounds like he has a good sense of humor. What impresses me about most pro players is how well grounded they are and they are not socially stunted even though they don't get the normal upbringing as the average person.

Ashley appears to be holding a continental grip, with the base of his hand slightly protruding beyond the butt of the grip like you would do for relaxed and powerful serving. And it is interesting that tennis players develop this habit of spreading the index finger like a trigger finger, since it is the correct way to hold the continental grip for serving, volleying etc. I think you get used to the feeling of precise control the spread index finger gives you.
