Alicia Keys is absurdly priced for 1 keyboard. Keyscape gives you 36 different keyboards and 1500 patches. OK, it's twice the price but it's had many free updates and is the best at what it does. I'm passing on the Korg "upgrade" from v4......If you don't upgrade from V3 to V5 you'll lose your "upgrade" of $149 when V6 comes out next year.
@nwndr5 ай бұрын
The best way to get anything from native instruments is to own a version of komplete and upgrade during the summer sale. Dozens of new things for just a couple hundred dollars. Buying anything from them outright is throwing away money
@cubexBeats5 ай бұрын
I don’t think it’s the best. Compensated to Native Instruments there is not so much dynamic range in velocity and that’s extremely important for pianos. However, I also think it’s priced really high. I own Opus Banks, Keyscape, some Native Instruments stuff and more and I think, that the native instruments pianos are (in my library) the most realistic, but I also like the wide range of sounds in Keyscape :)

149 is the same price as UVI's EGP, so I guess it's on par. The smart thing for them to do would've been having an intro price of 99 bucks for owners of Alicia's Keys. They would've sold twice the initial units. I'm sure they'll add this to Komplete 15 later this year, so I'll just wait for that. Until then I have EGP and Keyscape to tide me over.

I had the CP70 in my studio back in the 80’s. Anazing instrument. It was Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds and Gowan who is keybordist singer in Styx that got me into the CP series . Heavy beast !! I watched and listened to Alicia’s demo and hers sounds good. It’s not worth the full price at this time unless the CP is a staple in your music. I use Applied Acoustic Systems modelling Lounge Lizard EP-4 for those sounds! You should check AAS all modelling software. Love their Chromaphone , Ultra Analog VA3 in particular. I haven’t checked to see if your channel has covered any of their amazing instruments Sanjay?

Rhodes is my favorite and Lounge Lizard is what I use. For Wurlitzer the new Cherry Audio Wurlybird is great. I haven't found a piano I am 100% happy with but Native Instruments Grandeur is close with tweaking. I need to try Noire. Haven't found a CP-70 I am completely happy with either. Usually too bright and/or too thin. Looking forward to trying Alicia's plugin.

When I was 13, my parents took me to a store called “Duke Spinners” in Rochester, NY, right next to the Eastman Theater, to shop for my first electric guitar and practice amp. They had a strange-looking black piano thing from Yamaha that had dials on the front. A guy came in to speak with another sales person, sat down at the piano, and proceeded to play some jazz licks. Then he twisted some dials and the thing started to sound amazing, like nothing I had heard before. I later heard a similar sound on a UK album (Danger Money; Eddie Jobson on keys). So cool… love the sound still.

Nice review I have SEVERAL (EG-70 from GSI, XLN, Keyscape, Waves, UVI.) I love XLN's, but UVI has so many variations and they've included the acoustic samples, which, if youve played a CP-70/80 is a unique experience. UVI's is included in Key Suite electric for the price of this library.

For me, the most exciting plugin news was the native release of the UAD Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder. Yes, there are lots of tape emulations, including ones by UAD, but some consider the Ampex the one to rule them all, but it was only available on Apollo/UAD-2 hardware until now.

Well, about Native Instruments, the only in-house libaries so far this year are Bouquet and Glaze 2 in the Play Series. The rest is by other companies (all thre keys for example by Galaxy Instruments). Last year four Play Series and one Spolight Collection instrument. It really feels like Komplete 15 is coming.
