Today I am seventy years old and when I was seventeen years my college period that great discourses of great swami Ranganathan used to be delivered on Sunday in Paharganj Ashram still echo because swami jee used to speak from soul to all seeking soul.It was real discourse by preacher not teacher in the class room of lectures surfacing mind only not going deep your heart for ever. We are waiting that repitition and every young swami of mission must listen every time to his heart touching oratory.I remembered that once Jawahar Lal Nehru PM then only hero leader when came to the Ashram and before Swami Ranganathan speech he was looking small and repeatedly bow before swami jee for his great speech which was true discourse. We want to see that glory period that even Mission swami were welcome as great speakers in IAS Academy.where our future bureaucrates used to get inspired from mission.

Great lecture examined by all with their own mental arguments though it is God related to be tested by different test beyond limit of mind but through experience and go to Enlighnment .Swami jee put up very logically for mental sarsfaction while thru acceptability and surrender one gets enlighten by experiencing it. The satisfaction of mind not solution but beyond intellectual no mind but experience for Enlighnment .

The Self told me me that in deep sleep where a person is not conscious the the self returns to its most natural state of equilibirum. what is called in Hebrew as Ein Sof. or the equivalent perhaps of Nirvana.

I totally understood and agree on whatever beloved swamiji discussed, But felt a small thing missing. I.e when someone asked cant we read someone else's mind if i have same consciousness -----for this question------VIVEKANANDA had written book---POWERS OF MIND----in which he says, all minds are connected, All minds are in same continuous stream ...i experimented it on my friend's mind with possible intensity and it worked :) i made him wake up without touching or calling his name ....just by instructing through my mind.....SO THOUGH WE CAN NOT READ OTHER'S THOUGHTS THROUGH CONSCIOUSNESS, ITS QUITE POSSIBLE WITH MIND...here MIND TO MIND COMMUNICATION IS THERE.......AND THESE THINGS ARE EXPLAINED MORE CLEARLY by PATANJALI (RAJAYOGA).....But I appreciate VIDYARANYA's APPROACH TO EXPLAIN VEDANTA....Kudos

sir.. I think I am really getting your point.. I am not sure though.. sometimes I feel I am trapped in my body and seeing in the mirror I feel I dont knw this face. I do try to meditate though I dont knw whether I follow the correct steps or not. I would like to say what I do. In meditation ,I try to feel that there is nothing .. absolutely nothing .. no trees,no furniture,no room not even my body,brain,eyes,hands.no thought.. while doing so sometimes I feel there is memory and below that there is me(may be my mind) and somewhere deeper than there is calm and composed me(may be soul) .. I am very much confused

Indreamwe see many people. We accept the dream State then because we feel that it is not I am only thinks that all these are true that thoght gives us firmness in our conclusion of the reality of tha- tState. But all the people made openions during that dream state also were only a part of my own dream.then how can we take their openions valuable? when we applay this kind of anali sis of what is seen to the waking state also we will come into a conclusion that these discussions and classes are Maya and who watches these classes is really the one and only reality what is I am.then we will be inconsicusness. If there is a doubting mind there will be doubts also.

question about the intrinsic property of mind - the thought is the intrinsic property, so if the thoughts are taken away - the mind will no longer be mind in its form, we are aware of. I find the need of this subtraction for the questioner.

Modern science does not claim that we are unconscious during deep sleep. And how can anaesthesia cut off contact between the consciousness from the mind and the body? Patients do report dreaming during surgery even under the influence of anaesthesia.

I thought that somebody would question -if all there is is "sat,chit ananda' ( consciousness/brahman)) and nothing else -there should be explanation to prove that the mind and the objects of the world are nothing but "consciousness" . If consciousness alone is all through the three states of waking, dream and deep sleep, the waking world, dream world and veil of ignorance on consciousness duirng deep sleep - all three are nothing but ' sat" (maya) which is dynamic aspect of 'satchitananda". Since sat and chit are not separate the projections are also not separate from brahman.
