You’ve told in the video exactly what I felt and why decided to take PMI-ACP after PMP. It’s a great certification from which I’ve got a lot more than expected. Unfortunately it’s not as demanded by vacancies as PMP, but I don’t regret because of the knowledge. Also, surprisingly ACP is harder as an exam 😮 Good luck!

I passed my PMP in April, DASM in June and bought the PMI-ACP prep book as well. I don’t see many jobs requiring the ACP certification and some people feel that since the PMP exam is so much Agile now there isn’t much difference. So I’m trying to decide if the PMI-ACP is worth it or go for a Six Sigma or SAFe certification

Congrats on earning your PMP and DASM Certifications! I've seen a few companies & positions that "prefer" a candidate to have the ACP Certification on the Job Description (like a Technical Program Manager or Agile Project Manager, or something similar), and I've also seen the Six Sigma Certifications as well

Hi Alvin! Thanks for all the great content. Your material is insightful and inspiring to me as a brand new project manager. I too am collecting certifications, and have applied and been accepted for CAPM... just waiting to study and take the test. I have a couple questions for you, which I'm hoping will help illuminate the path before me :) Firstly, I don't have a bachelors degree. Do you think that is a deal breaker for most, if not all, companies looking to hire an entry level project manager? Even though I did pass all courses in the Google PM certification program on Coursera. Secondly, I'm thinking of specializing in construction project management because most of the jobs I see in my area are related to construction, so my question is, what do you think would be a better investment: a Coursera Construction management/PM certificate or a diploma from an accredited college? Keeping in mind the cost and time factors; or is there no difference in your opinion? I really do appreciate the content and helpful tips. Best of luck on your ACP exam!

@christauriello6152 - So glad you're finding my content helpful and useful! Since I don't have the full context of your background, here's the high-level advice I can give. I recommend doing your research to see what types of opportunities you can land if you only had a High School Diploma versus a Bachelor's Degree. Chances are you, you might already have an idea which path will lead to more opportunities and higher income down the road, but I want you to do the research first. Construction Project Management is also a great career path to pursue

The PMP certification worth it but at this time, with so much competition in the job market, which is horrible now, not sure if it really makes a difference. I see a lot of PMP certified people unemployed on Linkedin for months. I decided not apply for a job anymore and not taking the PMP certification. I am building my business now, I want to take the control of my life. Companies, recruiters and hiring managers can go to hell.

The job market is definitely competitive right now. What kind of business are you planning on building?
