Are u a women or a man your photo looks like a young girl . HAVE U prayed to GOD in earnest for a helpmate ? It is right to let God select the right one for u , but he/she needs to be single and no divorce from their mate that's still living ! But, everyone should pray to God when He judges us, He gives a lot of SLACK on this problem ! He does say He repents that He had to make man in the flesh, but it was either that or kill all his fallen kids in the first age ! The flesh age is where we are today , the 2nd Earth Age . Peter mentions the 3 earth ages , but there is more about in the Word . I think God might want u to write a book about your life if u are the real deal !

I didn’t marry until I was 46 and I am now happily married and God has blessed me with my own babies! The babies came naturally after menopause and after 50! God is so good! I had to drop my obsession with wanting a husband. I was bad at waiting and the pain would sometimes double me up. Learning to make Jesus my all and all, my focus and the lover of my soul… this was crucial. Then he gave me it all! God is faithful. I had relationships that didn’t work out… ‘Christian’ men who were narcissistic or who wanted sex before marriage. God won’t bless that. We have to wait and live our lives focussed upon him and he will bless that. First and foremost we have to deal with our rejection issues and let Jesus heal our soul wounds. Find peace… then an equally healed and whole man will be drawn to you. … or like me… then lead a great man to the Lord! He is now a strong man of God on fire for the Lord! This only happened because I was healed and whole, confident and uncompromising in my faith. Peace, wholeness and Jesus is an attractive package.

I am 44 and never married, no kids. I’ve always been content but starting to desire being married. All my siblings are married with kids and I’m the only girl in the family. At times I have felt that I’m weird or different but I know that is the enemy making me “feel” that way. Our society in America puts a lot of pressure on getting married and having a family (I so desire that now) but it’s not a must. Father may have other plans for singles so we have more time and less distractions for Him. Seek first the kingdom of God and ll these things will be fed onto you. After all, God is the one who gives us the desires of our heart. Bless you all and let’s all keep praying for each other ❤️.

"content but still contending". That's very relatable. I really appreciate it hearing her story.. seasoned singles often get told that XY and z needs to be in place before God will give them their spouse. Usually it's some advice about being content, healed, not desiring marriage and then it will happen. That advice is unhelpful Since those rules often didn't apply to those who were blessed to get married early in life. I love that there were people praying for her throughout her entire season of singleness. It can be a really rough lonely, journey and it helps to have people praying, encouraging and cheering us on along the way.

I’m 39 and turning 40 in a couple months. Never thought I would be here and never married and no kids. But what I also didn’t anticipate is the contentment and fulfillment God would give me when I surrendered that desire to him. I feel so loved by Him that He chose me to be set a part. I have contentment if I never marry but also open and ready for His will and surprises. It really is possible to get to this point and I am proof of it. he has provided for me like a husband would both materially and emotionally. He has also opened the doors for me to be able to foster. I always wanted to do but never thought I could do a single person. He is so good!

Great Testimony. The most important thing she said was, if you are not a happy single and growing in your relationship God. You are not ready for marriage. Never never rush this process. Never look for another person to make you happy. (It’s a recipe for disaster) If you are not complete within yourself and God, you are not ready.

ooooh "You are gonna miss your reward" that struck a cord with me😢coz I'm 53 and have been praying and believing the Lord for a Godly fulfilled marriage and there were those moments in silence when I thought I had missed it. I too was desperate to be loved and so I made a barrage of mistakes coz all my life since I was about 6 I was rejected, that was when that seed was sown. Went through life rejection after rejection and at one point idolizing marriage which I had to repent for. Today I am healed from my past, and I can confidently declare that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is so much more than enough. He is the gentleman I longed for. Should he see fit and allow one of his own to marry me, I will welcome it and rejoice in it, should he not, I will love him anyway, it is well with my soul.

Women tend to idolize marriage, especially Christian women. I'm speaking about myself too. Idolatry is a sin and one of the 10 Commandments. If it's God's will for you to be married, work on your relationship with the Godhead, fall in love with Them and work on yourself. God's faithful. Look at all of the times when He came through for you. It will happen. Don't loose your faith. Find your purpose while being single. A man or woman didn't die on the Cross for you, Jesus did!!! Ladies, I'm praying for and love you!!!

I agree there seems to be an idolatry but on the contrary. Can a comment like this move into over criticism? That emotional desire is normal and natural even more for women. The challenge is making sure people don’t allow their heart to venture into idolatry but it is okay and at times necessary for broadcast like this to create a healthy space of dialogue for people especially our sisters in Christ to talk about these things. Balance essentially

My wife and I married late (early 40s). In hindsight, we both agreed that one of the worst things Christians do, when it comes to a life partner, is "wait on the Lord". Look at what Abraham's servant said when he was looking for a wife for Isaac: "I, being in the way, the Lord led me." Gn 24:27 A parked car isn't going to go anywhere. We have to step out in faith and the Lord will guide us. Most people will not find a husband or wife if they don't put themselves out there, and do some dating.

Im going to be 42 soon, still single but I have been in many unhealthy sinful relationships in the past, I was saved only a few years ago and god is doing a lot of work in me! It’s easy to get impatient…but I know if god has someone for me I will meet him when the time is right ❤

IT IS VERY HARD TO BE CONTENT BEING SINGLE IF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING A REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG TIME LIKE 50s or 60s. But I think it's okay to be honest about that.

I was single till I was 29 when I got married. For 9 of those years I pressed into God so hard that I got to have a deep connection with the Lord through the Holy Spirit. I wish I had known that the time I was praying for a mate that it would be my most treasured times I have ever had with the Lord. When ur married to someone who doesn’t love the Lord or walk as closely as you it moves you farther away. Along with the demands of marriage and being a parent, and for me providing for the family, it was to much a lot of the time. I have often missed the alone time deep in the presence of the Lord. I have experienced God since then but the last 15 years have been difficult. The Lord in his gracious love gave me the family I had longed for, even at the cost of less of a relationship with Him. I am so grateful and blessed with my children. Marriage has been hard, but I pray God will move in it and show me and the world why he brought us together, if not more than for the children.

I got married at 25. I had just become a Christian and was single. My Christian friends asked me if I prayed about it. I lied and told them yes I prayed, I really did pray, and God said no, don't marry her. It ended up being a horrible marriage that ended in divorce. I look back now and realize I should have listened to God and waited. Sex is not love, that's why God says wait and keep yourself clean. People confuse sex with pure spiritual, real love.

To be honest, our 20-something generation has been very hurt by technology, the social media boom & the pandemic/isolation period of their youth. Pray for them. I recently sat through college orientation with my youngest & watched all these weak, wimpy, lost-looking souls walk in. I thought - my 20-year-old-self wouldn't be attracted to any of these people! It is NOT uncommon for 20 & even 30-somethings to not have dated much, to not have ever been in a serious relationship, & to not have experienced any physical/romantic contact. This causes depression in many people because they feel like they're the problem. In reality, the past decade+ has been a nightmare for kids & this is why we're seeing an increase in anxiety, depression, negative behaviors. I appreciate messages like today's - as I do think it's very needed.

I dont know if i believe the idea that we need to be 'ready' to get married. Many marry in their youth and grow together without having to 'do the work' or be 'complete and whole' beforehand. When she said God said she wasn't ready it suggests that she was too 'flawed' for a marriage. None of us will ever be perfect so it is unfair for some of us to have to 'do the work' while others don't have that longwinded journey to marriage. There has to be another explanation. In my view marriage, life etc is not a right but we have those things only by the grace of God.

Thank you for your comment. I agree. There has to be another reason. I also agree that we receive God’s blessings by His unmerited favor/grace. I want to seek the Lord further on this topic. I’m currently 53 never married but I would like to be. I have been content to be single until recently. Maybe it is a bit due to being lonely and fearful of growing older alone. I’m happy for Wendy but I’m not sure that this video sends the most hopeful message to everyone. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts 😊

It’s rather misleading to say that after a person comes to the point of contentment here or she will find a spouse. That doesn’t always happen. That would be like saying once a couple becomes content without having a child, the wife will all of a sudden get pregnant. It’s not a guarantee.

I would have to agree with this. I mean death is pretty extreme thing to say but singleness with no children is a pretty bad place to be in in your 50s esp when you have no extended family either. Walk through it yourself and you will know why this statement was made.
