Ill disagree with you that xmen tas dialogue was corny (though theres some of that). The music is retro maybe; but the Xman tas intro is easily one of the most iconic of any cartoon in existance (certainly more than Justice League). As for he animation being choppy, well I guess but it is older and did improve as time went on ala seasons 3 and 4. The main difference being Xmen tas was made for children on network TV. Xmen 97 is made for adults on a streaming platform. A darn good first season though I still have critizms. 😅 As you alude to, it is an age thing and asthetics and nostalgia come to play, as you do see JL and JLU through rose colored glasses and embrace its outdated but perhaps more modern feel, which I enjoyed as well. However Xmen tas (including but less credit to the Pryde of the Xmen piolet) set up its eventual respective movie universes and popularity where JL/JLU benefited from theirs to some degree. But no shade, for their times and audiences 3 arguably 4 great shows. 😅😅😅
