I think 1 trains use two 5-car sets, not one 6-car and one 5-car. Only the 7 train does the 6 and 5 car set pattern on the IRT I believe.

Yeah, the 7 is the only line to use a 5-car set and a 6-car set. All other IRT lines use two 5-car sets.
