Their player retention is terrible. It takes far to long and to much grinding to unlock new characters for new players so they get bored easier even if new legends are released because we can’t play them, and eventually new players leave after not long.

I actually despise how they put their “ltms” into the main game. The support meta mixed with the relic guns they have in the game make it borderline unplayable. Pubs should be where you can play who you want and use whatever guns, but right now if you’re not using a relic alternator and relic mastiff you’re at a severe disadvantage. And then they put good modes like 3 strikes, straight shot, ring flares, always closing, and then they only stay for like a week and aren’t seen again for years.

I’m all for buying in-game cosmetics every now and then but paying $300 for an item that is completely for aesthetics and doesn’t affect ur gameplay at all is just outrageous. Matchmaking is ruining the game for me. I solo queue & this current meta has only made it worse. I very rarely get teammates that arnt brainless, they loot all game n die in the first fight which just so happens to be the last squad alive or else they either afk, solo drop or land on 6 teams & get bodied instantly. Im always the one carrying & 1v3ing. Only thing keeping me on this game is that im good at it & i can't be bothered to spend tons of time learning another game

The game is noob friendly. I'm 60h Into the game since 3 weeks and reached diamond 2 days ago. IMO problem is that runners and rats manage to sneak to many points for basically avoiding everything

@@ricepatty5551 I tested that and yea if you play too good the MM will catch you but I can also say I did make a new account just to see if there were demons in bot lobbies and I ran into people with masters and diamond badges with 4k and 20 bombs on my first real game and I purposely played like dog shit in the orientation games

the support meta's definitely one of the biggest problems with the game rn. obviously there's other problems but the support meta's affecting the gameplay the most i feel like since no one can really avoid it. a lot of the changes they made are actually pretty cool they just over did it to try and make the game feel fresh.

The relic game mode makes me so angry, i quit this season fr. Killing somebody and then they phase away when they are 1 hp is so frustrating, it’s unbelievable. Also the decision to take out edistrict and Olympus, the top 2 maps in the game is beyond me. Storm point and Broken moon are terrible and not fun for pubs. We need new weapons, more character rewords/buffs or just changes in general, i wouldnt mind nerfs. Solo queuing has been terrible for forever. I dont have any friends that play this game so I have been solo queuing for years and if your teammate goes down for like half a second they instantly leave, throwing your game as well. I don’t know why people don’t mention this; there needs to be a more strict leaving game punishment. Also the server tick rates and just overall lag is insane on a game that has been semi-popular for over 5 almost 6 years now.

Revival officially solved "The Pubs Problem". But then they took it away. When I got lesser teammates, I didn't mind playing slow because dying wasn't sending me back into the main menu, and if I died being more aggressive than them, I would come back. If I was getting chased down by a pred stack, I could fight them a few times over, or just revive and go elsewhere. Give us Revival for Pubs, and then remove banner crafting from Ranked 💪

I really loved how you touched on the game being a lot more ability heavy and less about gun skill. I 100 percent agree with you on that. I feel like abilities shouldn’t be what the meta is, and instead give the player more options for how they want to play. I think they’ve also lost what was great about apex - simple but fantastic gameplay but unique legend abilities that were identifiable. It feels like their solution to gameplay getting ‘stale’ is to pile more shit on top. Legend classes, level upgrades, the changes to evo shields, rift relics, etc. Then trying to counter balance the complexity with health bars etc. Dial it back. Remember what was great to begin with. Cycle out some weapons and legends. Amend some maps.

Only issue with them cycling out legends in s the fact that people have already got expensive skins and heirlooms for said characters. I feel like it would just piss off a lot of players. Other than that, I do agree that I needs to be dialed back for the simplicity

Imagine a game being know as one of the greatest Legend Shooters in history only to be turned into Ability Legends instead. It is absolutely baffling that Devs 2.0 can sleep at night knowing they turned it into a healing sim where gun skills and game sense are no longer king. Sadly, I predicted all of this coming when Conduit was released as she was a peak 0 skill legend, just never thought it would go as far as it has this season. Like many OG players who spent thousands of hours grinding this game to improve this rez meta is repulsive and we will not be returning

Said the same thing with conduit release and Rev rework with his busted free shield Ult. Ranked means nothing anymore. Back in even season 16 If your team died, you had to figure out how to get their banners and res. No crafting banners, no res’ing 10 times with New Castle. There’s so much more hand holding now, I remember when even Diamond was considered above average. Now anyone and their Grandma can get to these higher ranks with how easy and forgiving everything is.

Totally agree with all your points, you nailed it going over the biggest problems in the game right now. I've been playing since the start, and it hurts to see the state of the game right now. Ranked needs major changes, the metas needs adjustments, the constant revives and Support class perks almost make me feel like I have to pay them in ranked. Not to mention getting higher in ranked means I'm running into sweaty 3 stacks on PC with comms that destory the lobby, and cheaters are ridiculous now. I used to regularly get to Masters and I dont have the desire to do it this season. It sucks.

Maybe something that can be done is make it lobbies where you can only pick one legend at a time. It’ll make littler lobbies of only 8 and if it’s randomly done with only 1 legend pick per person would work well

i played with my friends through lots of seasons and we ended after that season where there was no Duo Mode. Even after that we did not play, it wasn't fun anymore and we were not happy with the new content and gameplay.

15:28 TY FOR MENTIONING THIS. The way EA implemented gambling into Apex to resell old BP cosmetics is absurd. I believe a better way to resell BP cosmetics is to keep the BPs available in the store but double their cost. Obviously, the Apex Coins and the seasonal badges would be gone in resold BPs, but its cheaper than gambling money away. Doing the math, the entire collection of resold BP packs in the store right now cost roughly $40. 💀 Doubling the cost of previous BPs from 950AC to 1900AC gives players the option to: 1) Buy a $20 BP (which has more value than a single $20 legendary skin 😀). 2) Give more reasons to grind out a CURRENT BP and save their remaining AC. Marvel Rivals is allowing players to keep their BPs even after the season ends, so why not Apex? I get that a lot of people will be mad and say: “I GOT THIS BP SKIN OG, IT’S NOT FAIR.” 😡 Let’s be honest: They’re pixels on a screen. 🙄

The major issue that is killing Apex Legends is the lack of efficiency and swift changes to the entire game. It is impossible to play Apex Legends lately without servers crashing out on me MID-FIGHT as I look at a screen frozen with an enemy player aiming at me. 😀 Even with a stable internet connection, I’ve come across 3-4 crashes in a MATCH today, and decided to log off. The server stability issues haven’t changed since season 9, and we’re in season 23… Respawn and especially EA need to lock in, stop making milestone events, and fix their game.

My biggest problem with Apex Legends is that the game isn’t enjoyable at all for casual and new players in pubs. There have been times where I just don’t want to stress and play a few chill games. Yet you get randoms that land, get knocked and leave. Rinse and repeat. Unless you have a full stack, it’s boring as fuck. The movement and engine now seems outdated, these “new” Legends aren’t as good or have some traits of OG Legends. Reboot Titanfall and remove cross-play.

I’ve played for every season consistently (except for season 17💩) This meta killed any enjoyment I had. Supports are now the most logical choice for entry fragging since you can heal faster and for more health. Pathfinder is the only other legend everyone is running in top ranks besides all support. I hate having to play a certain legend or group of legends to not be at a disadvantage. I’ll say it, conduit rev was broken but I never had to partake in that crutch to still climb and have fun. I’m not completely counting Apex out, but I’ve definitely been enjoying other games lately mostly because of this meta. I feel like the state of the game is completely different even from just a few months ago when Alter came out.

Being an essentially new player (played seasons 1-3 and came back mid season 23) I feel like there are so many terrible balancing decisions. -Lots of characters have get out of jail free cards (along with the boost kit that let's you phase) and it simply takes any fun out of playing off meta picks. Half of the hero pool is just useless if you wanna win -Relics are exceptionally unbalanced. Final circle against somebody with a Relic Mastiff i might as well just afk because they'd need to have an aneurysm right at the start of the fight to have any chance of not deleting me in two shots from full red shields. -i think early game combat is okay. I've had great sniper battles and great teamwork moments. The issue just lies in the quick ability to get to broken stuff. I've been able to get purple shields in sub 2 minutes from game start without my team fighting anything which is beyond dumb

My only issue is the big maps. Storm Point and boring moon are NOT good pubs maps. The rotation we have now for pubs, storm Point, boring moon, world's edge. And I only wanna play when it's worlds edge because at least the map is small enough to keep chasing action. And good point there how we FINALLY got a new map and they take it out of rotation. My opinion, big maps maybe for ranked only, smaller maps for pubs 24/7 because u wanna jump in get some action not run around for 10 minutes and get sniped by a pred.

I still play Halo Infinite, and I've been playing the same maps for 3 years, and when they do add a map its a remake. Apex at least made e-district, and they try to make new characters and new events. I can't quit apex because the movement and gunplay are simply unrivaled. Best gunplay by far, in my opinion... of all time

The causal player base Bring arenas back as a full competitive gamemode just pure ranked where you have to get perd in both gamemodes for the animated badge and the dive trail with one split a season and a 4 month long seasons meaning 1 less season a year I could keep going but i will stop here

EA has messed up completely, and they should really just leave Respawn and regret their choices for Apex. Respawn could then DELETE Apex (hear me out here) and re-release another version and change it. And the main thing they should do, which I haven't heard a lot of people talking about is change the way gun skins release. In this re-release, ALL guns skins should be free (except for maybe reactive skins.) If they did this, they would change the game entirely. This is because one of the things that makes Apex feel old and like nothing is changing is because firstly, we haven't had a gun release since season 16, and that is because the Devs CAN'T "vault" or get rid of guns in a new season. The reason they can't get rid of guns is because loads of players have spent money on skins, reactive skins etc;. This is something that Fortnite has done really well. I remember when I used to play Fortnite, I would only ever find gun skins in the battle pass and that was it. The stuff that you would buy would be character skins. Because of this, I'm pretty sure this new chapter 6, none of the guns in the battle royale mode have been in any other season before it, they're all new. And that's what making people stay with Fortnite. AND players still get to have their old skins, because as far as I remember, Fortnite hasn't got skins for specific guns, but more for different classes of gun.

I feel like the issue with an “Apex 2” is how they structured the game from the get go. If they push out an apex 2 for a fresh start, all the skins and heirlooms people have bought and paid for could be gone and pointless and that would upset A LOT of people. Especially with how expensive they have made everything. So unless they transfer ALL of it over for every player, it would obviously come with a bunch of glitches where people lose stuff still. I agree that there’s gotta be some type of change to where ranked and pubs feels different, but I think a really great pve mode would be awesome and benefit the game so much. Or the season Newcastle came out, they could have used the crab as a raid boss or something.

1. Give us Edistrict, Olympus, and/or Kings Canyon/Worlds edge 2. Stop having season focused buffs/nerfs. We’re currently in a support meta (Gibby Lifeline Newcastle). You’ll see 1 of the 3 every game someone with some sorta done/shield. Focus more on buffing or reworking skirmishers. 3. Were also in a mid/close range meta Burst Rifles and shotguns are meta currently. Bring back the digital threat sight please. 4. Work faster 5. Give the Characters more life there’s almost no dialogue between anyone now (Mirage/Wraith) (Bangalore/Newcastle) (Pathfinder and anyone) 6. Rework your ltms make rift relics a separate game mode. It could be like fortnite’s solid gold game mode. Increased health with crazy strong guns. 7. Apex was once considered as good as or a step below fortnite you have a good/fun game here please do not let it die.

We need to have unique rewards like a unique weapon skin for weapon progression. Unique rewards for rank. Make Apex tokens buy crafting materials or skins and quips in the inventory. Tokens are worthless. Salvage skins we dont need/ like into tokens or crafting materials. Add character mastery progression with unique skin rewards. So many ways to keep people grinding but they doin bothing about it.

I feel like apex needs to pull off a bit of a reset. Slop updates for a while and just fix everything like the hackers, etc. kinda do a chapter system like Fortnite. Main focus of apex I feel like needs to be player retention. Lowering the skill ceiling feels like the way to go. Add movement techs as base mechanics (hurry up and give us wallrun already). Overwatch did this col thing where they buffed the projectile sizes of all their weapons but buffed the health up to compensate. That can lower the skill ceiling easily.

I’ll be honest, I’m an og, have played since the very first day apex dropped, and now I’ve been back after a break this season, didn’t play at all the last one, and I feel like the game is fun, just needs to remove the bs of SBMM in pubs, and honestly I don’t get why so many people complain about the game, to me you are just suffering from a burnt out and need to play something different, also the monetisation is basically what any game nowadays is based off, especially online one, and the one to blame are the buyers (so players), sure EA is EA, but the community is not doing anything to actually change it or make them understand that the average person can’t spend $360 on a videogame…

They only care about money. The buster sword gotcha was enough for me. I bought the currency to buy the full 25 packs I think it was and in fine print, if you hovered the question mark, it told you the price goes up the more packs you buy. I still bought more currency and it felt so terrible and scummy after I just stopped playing. I felt like I a victim of the Hauk Tuah crypto scam. I still like to check in every once and awhile to see if the game I invested in gets better. The first red flag I had about this game was my first heirloom pack at 500 packs when it was guaranteed and it only gave me 50 shards instead of the full 150 to buy the heirloom. :( In bronze and silver I was going against 3 stack pred 4k 20b badges, also why I stopped. Getting to gold took me going against the best...

I play so many competitive live service games actively or have at one point and all content creators prey on the “game is dying” or “is the game dying?” It’s funny. Live service games have ups and downs and rarely will they surpass or reach their peak. The only two live service comp games I play that people don’t say this for is Val and csgo. But this title and talk exists for R6, apex, ow2. If you’re talking about the game it isn’t dead and it might not even be dying, it might be going through a low point though. It’s hard to say when a game is really “dead”

@ I agree, would probably be better for them to start over from scratch with a new engine etc. In a recent investor meeting the EA CEO was against the idea of an Apex 2, he cited Overwatch 2 as a reference.

As someone who started 3 weeks ago and has 60h. I'm kinda confused how people who just run for their life the whole match can be in diamond. Skillgab there is really huge. I hit a lot with sniper and wingman (I come from csgo) but suck with movement and I'm not really knowing the maps in my mind. But there are so many people who are absolutely lost in every aspect of the game but still diamond... While having over 2k Overall kills with one character while I'm at 140 or something... I just don't understand

They need to have gyroscope controls like on the lame nintendo switch. Like, the switch even has it and PC has mouse and other FPSs have it, so why can't PS5 utilize/take advantage of gyroscope on Apex? And if they cannot, then they need to not have target compensation at all in the settings in order to make it a completely even playing/aiming field; I disable TC. Also, as somebody else stated here, they need to only allow one account. It's always those who are insecure about their score card/stats that are the ones constantly making new accounts so they can seem flawless, and are embarrassed about how they first sucked like everyone else when they first started playing the game; and theres plenty of these types of people in the game. But EA and Respawn are going to do what they want. I believe they really don't care about the people playing they game and what they want. I could be wrong though, but I highly doubt that. I also wish they would bring back Arenas, but instead, they are too busy trying to be like other FPSs and decided to copy their format by adding TDMs, Control, etc. which is fine because I like those modes also. But they could have kept Arenas as well. They also make too many nerf changes to legends that seem biased and help those who already have an advantage, and also are baised in which players they nerf. The problem with Apex Legends is that they have become really biased/favoritism and therefore, they are unfair. That's why I just play, but don't give them the satisfaction of paying for ANYTHING, because I can't deny the fact that I do love the game. If it were diff and worth it, I'd definitely make in-game purchases and have actually considered it. But naw, I can't support a game that doesn't support me as a player of their game. They listen to too many crybabies that seem to not get over the fact that they won't ALWAYS be on top and not suck at times.

I have played this game about 2 years and i still find it fress and exiting, but these rift relics spawn too often and way too many. Its pointless to gather any other weapons In the game. This shouldve been another gamemode and leave original alone. And support buff is too OP... I would Love to see gamemode where u fight against these monsters with ur team like survival Mode or something. That would be refreshing to shoot endless spawning monsters that are already In the game+ some new ones like bosses maybe

Just remove lifeline and newcastle or nerf them heavily or supports overall getting nerfed a bit and fix servers, while adding more new things to improve the game like events that change the map. Nessies were a great idea but don't make sense imo they are just annoying at times. Rift relics are kinda dull but atleast more loot. Buffs to the more nerfed characters and just better balance with the legends and abilities. Letting us also have the maps to choose like the OG Kings canyon version and OG worlds edge. Like bringing these OG maps periodically and then at the end adding a permanent game mode where you play all the OG maps with the old legends + systems only would be a great new mode for a different feel for the game which you could switch to at times for nostalgia.

Idc abt skins cuz u only really see the gun skin unless u do a emote but. Matchmaking is a problem in ranked cuz that’s all I play im a silver playing against masters and some lobbies you have one team just destroying the whole lobby. Now I do think cosmetics should renew every few days not weeks. And another also I don’t like the support meta cuz it’s so boring to play new castle and just drop a bunch of kills. I saw a competive game yesterday and every team only had three legends New castle, gibby, catalyst, or lifeline that is it out of 20 teams

everyone seems to forget the thousands of players who were cheating, or on linux or the thousands of afk bot. The player count is literally reflecting that, the games not dead and we havent actually lost that many legit players

I wish they put Quads and Solo mode permanently as someone who play as squad there's always one who gets left behind and it sucks and they probably and when you look at your friends list it still says lobby 1/4 if they don't want have Quads and Duos and Solo's in main rotation fine at least allow players to open and join customs lobbies without needing a code to join plus it would allow those who play as Quads or one or more friends to play TDM and Control I think allow customs lobbies to be open will allow fun and better for new players to get into the game

Ever since last update on ps4 the aim is all messed up,there is so much data loss as well and maybe its on all consoles im not sure but when you full clip and opponent right in their face and only 30 damage registers it makes the game pretty stupid.Literally everyone is cheating and its super obvious now to in the last couple seasons,if they actually had anticheat turned on they would have no players left to play the game.The game is poop
