You should never aspire to own personal cars and import cars as an economy. The goverment is doing you a service. Nordic countrys have high taxes especily on cars - as everbody has to many cars in the world and the trafic is bad & pollution is terrible. Trade deficits nation wide are racked up by importing cars etc. For personal finaces & for country finances & city life - cars are bad. Already the new generation is opting out of personal transportation - as they see the future. Yes to house ownership, yes to refigerators , yes to public transportation, yes to utility transportation - no to persoal transportation by means of cars. ( bikes and scooters are ok ). All the developed nations will adopt this model and encourage ride-sharing and other solutions ( as they already started ) . The problem with some people is that they what cars - like the what drugs...I know many rich people that do not own or what to own a car as even they can not afford it. Car are financial ruin.

At least Turkey is a country that produces goods that are affordable to their citizens. Not sure about the car market there but in general when you stick to local brands you can live just fine. All goods in Tunisia are imported and hella expensive. I've lived in both places and Turkey was much easier to get by in.
@mahmutakbaba28023 жыл бұрын
@@hodaelmesawi You are right regarding local brands, almost everything produced here is relatively more affordable for Turkish citizens. Especially clothing and household appliances. Unfortunately this does not apply to automobiles. Locally produced automobiles (Renault, Fiat, Hyundai) are also subject to the same tax regiment as imported ones, so New cars are (depending on its engine size) 50% to 300% more expensive than in Europe. And importing used cars is strictly forbidden. So the used car market here is basically a black market. The Ford Fiesta in the video is 3000usd in Europe and 7500 USD in Tunisia, what is considered to be expensive. The same used Fiesta costs here 12000 USD! And the average income is (maybe) a little higher than in Tunisia! May Allah show his mercy for both countries' car owners.

there's other reasons for those Taxes, if you compare new cars in the UE and in Tunisia like German or French cars (or any other UE goods) you will notice that it's the same price you only add VAT to it, that's because Tunisia is owned by UE investment bank (since mid 90s) in other words they lend us money with interest to buy their stuff.... Very interesting, though, somehow the same issue in Kenya. Kenyans can only import second-hand card with a maximum of 8 years old. You'd think they'd be cheap for the larger public but nothing could be further from the truth. Normally, Kenyans pay car import taxes that are either the same or higher than the value of the car being purchased. For example, Kenyans end up paying prices for a 2014 car (e.g. Mazda6) that would be equal to buying a 2020/21brand new car in the West... You'd think the government's doing this to protect the local auto industry but that's not the case as we have car assembly plants for various brands such as VW etc but their vehicles are still very much expensive. When Kenyans import exotic vehicles like the Lamborghini Urus, they're required to pay taxes of the same value as the buying price of the car. So if an Urus selling price is $300K, you'll pay taxes worth $300K if not more, to import the car into Kenya. This has led to Kenyans registering their exotic cars in neighboring countries such as Uganda, South Sudan and the DRC where the tax regimes aren't as 'greedy' as Kenya's. Due to this, you'll find on Kenyan roads an Escalade with South Sudan registration plates, a Rolls-Royce Phantom with DRC registration plates etc.

Analysts says bitcoin price needed to slow down" in order to maintain the bullish momentum needed for the next leg up. Bitcoin's parabolic increase well above its previous all-time-high has many experiencing déjà vu from 2017 and a number of analysts are concerned the market is overdue for a sizeable correction. On Jan. 8 With Bitcoin (BTC) price reached a new all-time high at $41,940 and this week's 28% collapse to $31,076 had professional and retail investors afraid that a strong trend reversal was in the making. As long as the price continues to stay above these, the chances are that we will see higher highs for the Bitcoin price. In Tunisia, they sell cars for double the price, sometimes triple! For luxury cars, taxes may reach 170% of the original price! Yes, taxes are more expensive than the car itself. For used cars, in Tunisia, you buy a new car for 14000$ and after 5 years you can sell it for 16000$ ... Used cars are more expensive than a new 5 years model car, because the new model of that car is sold now for 23000$
