The situation: Kindred is the hardest match-up for Shyvana, Shyvana does not want to engage Kindred on even grounds because she gets directly countered by Kindred, this is a good fundamental to follow when you're learning the champion, but the funny bit is that Tarzaned already learned the fundamentals and is talking about the details, the details being you have Shyvana with tier 2 boots, level advantage, and flash against Kindred with no boots and no flash, it's such a perfect state of affairs that it's almost unfathomable that Shyvana now kills Kindred with these factors if you played Shyvana before, it's a big brain VS. mega brain argument. Top 10 coach is thinking through a Shyvana lens, Tarzaned thinks through the League of Legends lens. 7:42 On another note, Shyvana wants to gets 6 to be the strongest champion on the map and becomes fixated on red buff that grants her 6, but you give your 6 to a dead top side, why? Wolves, gromp, enemy chickens even if it's Zac Kindred sandwich, and you win every engagement including the drake, nobody even brought it up. But I guess that's the problem watching the middle of VODs without context. EDIT: 12:52 Never mind, if he thinks he loses there there's a much bigger problem I didn't factor in.

While I agree Tarzaned is very smart and has a great understanding of the game I disagree with the notion that you shouldn't have arguments with someone who knows more than you. The issue isn't that they are arguing, arguing is a good thing it's how you figure things out and tests your reasoning for why you feel X thing is correct or better. The issue is that the Shyv is just stubborn as hell which is made even worse because he's dealing with Tarzaned who talks down to people A LOT when he's discussing league with people. Even if Tarzaned is right the way he approaches people about league doesn't help. Not justifying the Shyv at all either, being stubborn is a horrible trait to have and if you cannot defend your reasoning behind doing something without making personal insults then your argument is very weak to begin with.

NEACE was absolutely right about it being a tight timing window. The ward at blue camp gave away too much information, and walking around wolves would’ve helped that. Bot had no prio, Also Shyv was close enough to 6 to justify clearing camps instead of going drag. Finally, graves was still around to collapse to drag to help out but he recalled even though he spam pinged it. Once Shyv hesitated, he should’ve kept clearing to get that 6 spike. But also listening to to Graves pings should’ve meant graves collapses. Once he recalled, Shyv was at an instant disadvantage. There are three options here: 1. Keep smite up, commit to the dragon and path around wolves to avoid vision after kindred goes north 2. float drag and pull blue team and everyone loses EXP but that’s good for shyvanna who was still ahead in level. 3. Give drag and path to stay ahead of levels. The WORST case was the one Shyv was in where she dies, loses drag and die and give kindred lead level. That 2v2 was all shyv’s fault for not having confidence. Because he assumed it was a lost fight. Assuming is bad.
@Haas888 Жыл бұрын
Agreed on everything but the last bit. Why do you say "assuming is bad"? League is all about assuming, you look at the items, levels, wave states etc., you calculate the posibilities and assume (i would rather use "predict" here) the outcome . Imo the only issue here was that he was just wrong in thinking they ever lose this 2v2.
@sumwightguy7634 Жыл бұрын
Honestly feel like the two people IN CALL TOGETHER (graves and shyv) could've communicated that better anyway. Graves spam pinging the pit were the only pings in that interaction for red team. No pinging that he was backing, no "back off" pings from shyv, no on the way pings from shyv to indicate graves should stay. Silence. And again they were in call together apparently so easy enough to say "actually I'm gonna back just farm." Or something. Maybe I'm wrong because I'm not nearly as good as them.
@YuYuYuna_ Жыл бұрын
@@Haas888 That's now how assumptions work. If you are taking in factual variables i.e. things you look at and know for certain and comparing them you aren't "assuming" anything. You are making an informed decision based on the variables in front of you and deciding "yes this is a fight we win and we win it hard" or "No we will either very closely lose or hard lose the fight." If Im driving my car down the road and come to a stop light to turn right on red and I look to my left for traffic and see it is clear and then I turn I'm not "assuming" it is clear I'm looking with my eyes to see what are the variables in the situation and see if there is anything that would make me NOT want to do X thing, in this case making the turn. An assumption by definition uses no proof - a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof. Assumptions are bad. Informed decisions that take into account the important relevant factors are not. Looking at items, levels, wave states etc. as you say and calculating the possibilities is NOT assuming. Assuming is another way of saying an uneducated guess. You're purely going based off of emotions aka how you FEEL in the moment.

Hy Neace! So nice to see you picking this one up. I just wrote another Coach who did a reaction to a Dantes Coaching Session not to go into the direction of being condescending about this stuff. It is such a misbehavior for content creators to build on toxic bashing tactics. The community is validating this stuff far too much. And ppl like Tarzaned got away with it for far too long. These coaches always act like there is one exact play for every situation in League. It is ridiculous. You were the only one so far to keep an open mind and trying to rly cooperate with others to improve concepts. Also the Hindsight Hero behavior is rly dumb. It creates a false image of certain Coaches / Players being the pinnacle of League Knowledge. At the end of the day League is a competitive Team Game with a plethora of variables. There can't be only one way to play it successfully.
@derbestimmer1148 Жыл бұрын
The Dragon here is a coin flip. Hands down. It is Ocean. He starts it, he is slowed, they collapse. There are so many situations like that. Especially on pre 6 Shyvana, this is absolutely not a safe play and a scaling champion like Shyv is better off farming the Jungle and get out. Even Dantes says he would not do it on Hecarim. How is pre 6 Shyvana supposed to skirmish this more than Hecarim. You can do the play if you want to limit test and risk it, you don't do the play if you want to play for the safe thing and scale. If he dies there and loses drake and Blue side camps he has lost the game. If you have to go into argueing for seconds to make the play valid it is not a safe play. I feel like this is more like a situation where you guys pick up so much momentum proving one point, you can't look in another direction. Jaymo gets ripped into by this coach here in another vod at first Herald for taking it - the play is much safer, than the dragon play in this clip above: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaS6fJmAhbN8nqs At some point it is more about being right, than doing the right thing.
@derbestimmer1148 Жыл бұрын
100% - if in the replay he would have hovered dragon they would have called out tempo loss 100%. And if he would have started or his team would have decided to skirmish and it would have gone south, it would have been his fault too. And the coin flip here, that they all want him to do so badly, is based on Shyv passive. That's 5 Armor (100 Gold) and MR (90 Gold) and drake itself IF the enemy takes it here VS. 3 camps. And the tier 2 boots are not solely valuable for the purpose of surviving Kindred after being slowed by drake. They give him much faster clearing. Not losing Tempo here against kindred is so important.

If these guys were genuine with analysing anything in a mannered way then yes, this could be a very educative and interesting civil debate. But as you can see its passive agression all over the place, egos and emotions clashing while Neace is like the adult/uncle who is supervising the kids arguing.

I think an argument that was glossed over was Dantes' one. Even if Jaymo doesn't go for the dragon like Tarzaned said and does gromp and wolves, when he places the pink and denies that brush vision he starts clearing the 2 wards, which takes prob around 8 sec to do, time in which graves ends up recalling with the mid prio and cannon bounce while bot couldve moved up and secured a 4v2 or a 4v4 while enemy bot is losing waves. Besides if you have a pink I think its almost never worth it to actually clear the wards, it always takes a lot of time and once u clear them u give vision of where ure going immediately after anyway so its kinda stupid imo, its not worth the 30 gold.

What's most striking about this extract/conversation is the inability of just about everyone involved to have an argumentative discussion. The number of ad hominem attacks is unbelievable, and for people who claim to be at the top of their game, the lack of discernment and failure to put their knowledge into words or to verify and contradict is simply astonishing. Neace is about the least worst when he asks the question "what are you trying to achieve" but what comes out is frankly depressing. So I understand the players, they've just come out of the game, they must still be under tension. But there's still plenty of room for improvement. The best part is the little moment when they try to calculate Shyvanna's income possibilities, which shows pretty well how they think about this kind of moment. The rest is disappointing. Thanks for sharing it, it's nice to see how it's hard, even for good player to come to an agreement on facts. Truly humbling.

Actually the real reason this happened is because this guy was a fake coach and told Dantes he could coach him better than Tarzaned , so obviously Tarzaned would be pissed (even though I he always talks smack but this time he had one more reason to do so) , the guy would make up excuses for everything and if you check out the whole livestream you will see how obvious it is that he is lying, every coach I saw comment on this guy was furious because they felt like their job was being made fun off and he was spreading so much misinformation which overall could confuse people

playing with tarzaned off role on your team is pain. imagine having to listen to him in disc aswell, him judging your every decision and forcing plays. Poor guy gets ripped apart for clearing gromp and heading topside, with complete vision control by the enemy team of dragon. Hes got a good point about kindred slow + ocean slow collapse
@Kizinky Жыл бұрын
the only reason zaned was judging him to begin with was because that jungler said he sas a far better jungler and teacher than he was. so the fight was on at that moment. then they decided to settle it in the rift, but got matched on the same team. thats why he was being judged. not to mention before any of this happened zaned exposed jaymo that the challenger accounts jaymo lied and said were his came forward and said they werent and that they were their own. so its moreso already knowing that the guy was a fraud but just hammering it home with the gameplay and dogpiling. not to mention after this they finally matched against each other and it was not even close how bad the jgl gap was. but props to jaymo lol he was a nobody and now he everyone knows his name
@chiddiru6114 Жыл бұрын
The entire point that is getting made is by doing gromp/ wolves you allow the kindred to do what ever she wants and lose nothing. The concept here is, show at dragon so their bot/ mid/ jungle all have something to lose and you can simply walk away. Bot comes up they lose exp/ gold from wave crashing, same with mid, kindred possibly loses top mark on crab, this is all achieved simply by showing, if they dont react and come to the dragon you take it, therefore you are in an unlosable situation. you will always gain from this.
@Pr0x1m1f1c4710n Жыл бұрын
@@chiddiru6114 Exactly, so now you potentially have 2 lanes with 3 people spiking 6 or good recall timers with more gold spent, compared to the enemy. Which again gives prio and a potential skirmish/drake for shyv if they couldn't the first time around.
@roe4822 Жыл бұрын
Not really. The whole point was that his team has prio, and the kindred had a mark on top scuttle. So he should have gone drag so that kindred(who has 0 marks) has to choose between the mark, or the drag. If he chooses the drag then shyvana backs off then takes crab, if he chooses mark then its a free drag. But instead he decided to do it way to late, and ends up giving both.
@YuYuYuna_ Жыл бұрын
I mean I agree about how Tarzaned approaches people about league isn't helpful or productive but at the same time, he was right in this case. Go drag from spawn because your mid is about to crash a wave and your bot lane is pushing out so they will have first move. Starting drag there is smart. Is it risky? Technically sure but it's not an uncalculated risk. You are playing around the fact you have a stacked wave mid and bot that are about to crash and you will be forcing the enemy team to make a decision: Do we A) come to drag and drop the 2-ish waves at tower in both mid and bot or B) take the farm at tower and concede drag because the enemy team has first move in both mid and bot. If they come to drag you just peel away and do gromp and now the enemy mid and bot just lost a bunch of exp and gold for rotating in hopes that you commit and there's a fight that would get them kills aka exp and gold that would make up for what they are losing at tower.

4:19 This is weird. Like they have 4 of the worst champions in their team (in this patch). Me as a jungler will expect to lose every lane. It can either snowball out of control and its gg in 15 minutes or I can get some kills and maybe try to carry. Really just dodge the game.... I would either neglect farm and go mid or, more likely, do gromp without smite and then go bot or mid. At 4:19 I dont see the enemy bot lane, so why would I gank that? They are probably at dragon, my jungle is warded , I just die if I walk down there or get zoned away... after all my bot is pushed in just like my mid.... so no help expected from there. So after gromp I can lane gank bot, if they show up, if not I can go mid or farm wolfes.
